3.5 out of 5. I first tried the food truck and it was amazing and now I’m happy to finally gotten over to the brick and mortar location off Williams road. It’s so clean and the owners and staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. This time I ordered the carne asada burrito without beans, elote , and a chocolate chip cookie . My total was $20 including the tip. Overall the food was fresh and has a lot of potential! Packaged neatly and beautifully presentation for a Togo order . Took only like 8 minutes to get my food once I ordered. To my husband and I we feel everything could use a bit more seasoning or maybe a touch more salt but the ingredients were quality which makes a difference . I was a bit disappointed by how dry and overcooked the carne asada was . But because I see the potential I will be back to try again and start with the tacos. Customer service goes a long way too ! And literally the best jumbo chocolate chip cookie . I put mine in my bag so it was nice and warm when I got home . Definitely grab one with your order . I will update my review on...
Read moreI don’t typically have a lot of negative reviews for local restaurants. Being born and raised in Columbus, I sometimes notice that people tend to enjoy mediocre food just because their friend or coworker enjoys it. After hearing about this establishment for months, I finally decided to try it. My wife and I have tried it a couple times now and we’re just not fans. They tend to be out of a lot of items (they have a small menu as is) but the food is just blah. Both times we spent upwards of $40 on random items that we could both try and nothing was great. It’s pretty bland.. very similar to Pure Taqueria. My wife and I have a running joke about how non-Latin people move near the southwest and come back to Columbus pretending to be experts in Mexican and/or Tex-Mex so it was fitting when we looked at their website and saw that’s exactly how they started. I guess it’s okay if you don’t plan on ever trying authentic Mexican or Tex-Mex but once you do, you’ll know...
Read moreHad high hopes for this place, unfortunately they will just stay that. Dreams. I went in and got 1 Carne Asada Street Taco, Elote and Loaded Nachos. $20.
Let's start with the "Street Taco". $4.25 Other street tacos you get 2-3 flour tortillas with enough meat for them. This one...they give you a cold tortilla and enough meat to tear that one tortilla in half on the first bite because its so flimsy. Salty.
Next. Elote. $5.25 Not that bad but you only get one. One. Small. Elote. Typically you get one but this was long but not wide at all so you can't even enjoy it.
Last. Loaded Nachos. $10ish. Very hearty serving and numerous toppings and sauces included. Well worth the $$ you spent on it. It's served with Blanco Queso and it was some of the best cheese I've had in Columbus.
Overall, not a fan but I will compliment the service that was excellent from the young lady at...
