If you're looking for the perfect summer escape, you have to hear about the incredible time my grandchildren and I had at Stars and Strikes!
On June 3rd, we popped into Stars and Strikes completely on a whim, and I am so glad we did. We jumped on their unlimited special, which gave us an hour of bowling plus all-you-can-play laser tag and arcade games. We easily spent four or five hours there just laughing and having an absolute blast. A time was had, indeed!
But honestly, as much fun as the games were, the amazing staff made our day truly special. I wish I could remember everyone's name, but the man working in the redemption area (I think Steve) was simply phenomenal. He was helping out everywhere and his knowledge about everything Stars and Strikes was through the roof. Any question we had, any assistance we needed, he was right there and happy to help.
And then there was Marcus, the young man running laser tag! I’ll never forget his name because my five-year-old grandson kept calling him "Darcus," which had us all giggling. My grandson was a little nervous to play, but Marcus was so kind and patient. He not only eased his fears but even gave him a few tips and tricks to get started.
If you're feeling bored this summer, I can't recommend it enough: take your kids to Stars and Strikes! They're running all sorts of great summer specials to fit any budget. We will definitely be doing...
Read moreI would have to give this place a three based on customer service. Although it can be pretty busy, customer service should never stop happening. Stood in bowling line to pay for way to long. Almost 15-20 only for other workers and what also look like a member of management to walk by as if they didn't notice the line that was forming. My nieces were playing with the birthday machine (which honestly I didn't notice what it was) until the worker came and unplugged it. She clearly waited for my spouse to leave them then come and unplug it and walk away. Clearly you didn't see me watching, so I walk over to her "can you tell me why you just unplug the machine while they were playing in it?" She says it for birthdays. Understandable, but opening your mouth goes a long way. I won't speak much on the attendants helping the party participants because again if I see how management is, I shouldn't expect much from them : ( *cutting ppl off while walking, raising voices at my family, also leaving children behind) Any who my daughter, my niece, and cousin had a good time but again poor customer service is always remembered. This was a first time and maybe a last time. But Sierrha waitress taken our order DEFINITELY attempted to make ALL right! Shouts out to you!!! The games and this young lady made the...
Read moreI'm very mixed on my review here. There are two distinctly different sides to this business: activities and food. The activities are fantastic! My kids love it here, and I am thrilled we have stars and strikes here in Columbus. The deals keep prices reasonable and there are plenty of things to do. Video games, laser tag, bumper cars, bowling... It's got a lot to do! Activities would get a 4 or 5 star rating on their own.
Now for the bad .the food service is BAD. Don't do it. I've made the mistake a couple of times and immediately regret it. Today we spent over an hour to receive three burgers and a kids pizza (microwave frozen pizza). There were 2 prher tables in the restaurant, so they weren't busy. The server was gretg, the kitchen is a failure. Again, do not get food here. What's sad is that much of the food is pretty good. Burgers are tasty (if not actually cooked to requested temp) fries are fantastic, and there is a decent beer selection. Despite that, the hour+ wait isn't worth it. You could drive somewhere else, eat, and be home by the time you get served here. Food should get a 2 or 3 star rating. If this gets fixed (and I would think the GM/owners would want it fixed, but for some reason haven't done so over the past year) I would recommend people come and stay for...
