I froze my tail off. I had long pants long shirt heavy jacket on and was freezing because they refused to turn the heaters on on all the waffle houses in North Columbus 2 Days later Peggy the waitress asked me a disabled vet to give up my table because a lady walked in and she wanted her to have the table even though I had waited for it for 15 minutes and the lady just walked in. When I said no she waited on the lady first totally ignored me for 15 minutes and ordered the ladies food while ignoring me. She apparently doesn't like males or disrespects veterans. I had to get another waitress to come wait on me after she ignored me for 15 minutes. Then Peggy told the cook not to cook my order. I spoke with the manager and recommend he fire her or write her up for her insolence and obnoxious attitude toward a customer she didn't even know. I called her supervisor I recommend she write her up and fire her immediately for her despicable behavior toward a good customer. Read moreI put in my order for two grand slams tipped 5 bucks , then I get my receipt . I'm charged a service charge and a to go fee at 2.65 each . Had I known this I would not had left a tip . Nothing I seen was posted by a sign that these two charges even existed . I would call that under handed and stealing 5 1/3 . I won't set foot in another waffle house hopefully they all shut down. And with practices such as this I see why most of them are shutting down . The employees was all nice I have not one complaint in that area . To the leadership of the waffle houses everything rises and falls on leadership . And it shows what a poor job the leadership has done , make it known these charges have been applied. And I noticed this charge isn't being applied to all to go orders . I asked others standing there with me waiting on their order , they had not been charged these fees . Read more12:49 a.m. this morning, my 3 friends and I tried to go here. As we were walking up to the door, an employee almost runs to the door and locks it and stares at us as he does so. A guy that had parked closer to the door, gets out before we get to the door and tries to open it and it’s locked. He pulls at the door and the employee just glances at him.
The other employees are looking at the one employee confused.
The customers inside look confused because this male employee just ran to lock the door.
The guy is pulling on the handle and no one acknowledges him. The customers are looking at the employee like “why did he lock the door?” All the customers look back and forth between us and the employee. It was very weird.
We end up going to another Waffle House like a mile away and it was great.
