Waffle House — Restaurant in Columbus

My recent visit to Waffle House was an absolute treat, a shining example of Southern hospitality and delicious food coming together perfectly. Their attentiveness was remarkable; they were friendly, efficient, and made me feel like a valued guest. Tonight has been the worst experience I've had going to a waffle house. Me and my wife were visiting here and wanted something to eat decided to go to this establishment upon arriving there were 2 cars already sitting so we guessed they were open. I get out and walk up to the walk and and as seen in the pics the workers were inside and no one came to the window to even assist or say anything. As one of the cooks turned and looked me right into my face I asked thru the window "are you all closed?" He said nothing and continued his conversation their was a waiter also sitting at the counter that turned around, looked and turned her back to me as if she didn't see me. The same cook that I asked the question to again looked at me again and still stated nothing so as they continued to cook food because there was food on the grill no one said anything until I asked again for the third time if they were closed and the cook finally said the words "we're closed". There should have at least been some kind of acknowledgment of what was going due to as I've known waffle house opens 24 hours and this was at 12:45am. The people there were not professional nor should this type of behavior of treating people like this should...

PREJUDICE & RACIAL PROFILING!!! If I could leave zero stars I would! I went into this WH tonight ordered my food to go + a tip, standing to the side waiting on my order when a police officer approached me and started telling me I need to go out side and wait on my order…I’m very confused and asked why several times the officer said I don’t know they said you need to wait outside that’s what you got to do. I told them to just give me a refund…why would I be waiting outside and everyone else is inside…still confused. The manager who took my order “Cait” started my refund while the police is standing over me. I asked why am I being put out….this woman told me I was there last weekend in causing an altercation. WOW…haven’t been to that WH in years, never had an altercation and put out of a restaurant in my life. Very embarrassing, treated like a criminal and racially profiled while just trying to get a meal. Still can’t believe it. Smh just sad. Glad she didn’t tell the police I was in there robbing the place last weekend. Smh!!! Shame on you Cait just imagine how you would feel if someone did this to you. I will be calling...
