2025 September 27, around 1:00 PM, Hollywood Casino location. It was my birthday and the wife took me to the casino as my birthday present. This was a special trip as I am disabled and a heart patient and use a walker. We don’t get out very much. We hadn’t eaten all day and stopped at Wahlburgers, first thing for a bite to eat. I ordered a double cheeseburger and the wife ordered a single cheeseburger. We also ordered two drinks and french fries. There were no other customers present. A young man with a slender build took my order and ran my credit card, last four digits 6217. He didn’t seem all that excited to see us, and said nothing before I ordered our food. He handed my credit card back to me along with a receipt, which I signed. There was a space for a “tip” on the receipt, however, I chose not to leave one as his only assistance was running my credit card. It took about 25 minutes for our order to be completed and my wife went to the counter and picked it up. We ate lunch and about 20 minutes later I started to experience belly pain. Long story short, I spent one hour and 25 minutes in the men’s room in excruciating pain, resulting in explosive diarrhea. For a little while, I was just afraid that I wasn’t going to die. All the trappings of E. coli. Was my burger “bushwhacked“? Reasonable people might wonder. If it wasn’t, you have to wonder what the heck is going on in the back of the house. Not the greatest...
Read moreI WANTED to love this place but it was very much just "okay." We each got a cheeseburger which comes loaded with lettuce, tomato, onion and special sauce. We also ordered onion rings, French fries, AND tater tots. Oh, and hubs got the chicken wing bites. The burgers were $11 each. The sides were $4 each. The chicken bites were, I think, $8-9. Soda was $3, but I drank the free soft drinks from the casino. (Restaurant is located inside Hollywood Casino) The chicken bites have like shredded chicken and blue cheese shaped into a ball and then coated with some kind of dough, then deep fried. Hubs liked them, but I did not. Very weird texture and distinct blue cheese flavor for sure. Every thing else was fine. Not great. Just fine. Onion rings were more like onion straws and were the best side, imo. I'm glad I went because I've been wanting to try it (and I love me some Mark Walberg) but next time I want a burger and fries, I'll go to Five Guys.
Edited to add: The cashier asked us each how we wanted our burgers done. I said well- done and Hubs said medium. They both looked exactly the same in the inside....
Read moreI went to the Wahlburgers yesterday inside the Hollywood Casino and ordered the Buffalo Chicken Bites, Bold Fried Buffalo Chicken Bites served with blue cheese sauce. I love Buffalo items so I decided to try these. Drinks are free at the casino but I ordered a Medium Coke since it says they are Buffalo and Bold. When I got my order I told them it was the wrong order as the container had 8 nickel sized items in it, I seriously thought they were cheese balls or something. I ate one of the bold buffalo bites and threw out the remaining 7. Worst meal I have ever had. Not even sure if it was chicken or not, looked shredded or something. Did not taste like chicken, no buffalo sauce anywhere, I think the blue cheese was inside of it with the chicken as it was the worst tasting thing ever. The medium drink was filled entirely with ice so I had about 4 sips of the drink. The French Fries were ok but I have had better. So I spent $18 for fries and 4 sips of a Coke that was free outside of the restaurant. Very poor food. I heard the hamburgers are good but I doubt I will purchase anything...
