Our vehicle was broken into, and got my I Phone stolen on September 06, 2021 around 6:30 PM on labor day while going into the store to grab some beef ribs. After realizing the incident, I went back inside the store to seek help since they have security camera installed on the building, unfortunately I received no assistance up until I ran in to a Franklin Township Police Officer who was on duty walked in to the store. I approached the Officer who was willing to help, after showing him where our vehicle was parked, the officer insisted we went inside the store and see if we find anything from the camera. We got no immediate help even after walking up to the customer service desk, then the Officer went to go ask a cashier for help, after telling the cashier about the incident, she replies " Again", which indicated that Theft was NORM to them in that store. We waited for a mere 20 minutes to finally told us after taking the officer into a room that a spot where we parked our vehicle was not covered by the Security Camera. I suggest you to ensure the safety of your belongings by parking your vehicle in the range of Security Camera Coverage and possibly leave someone in the vehicle while shopping, since our car was broken into easily even though it was locked. Beware of the management of the store as well since it took us more than 30 minutes to finally got help with what we needed even with the presence of a law enforcement officer. Be Cautious and be Aware people..

Well this is my second time ever being to the store. My first impression is this place is pretty great. Their bread is delicious. But today was my second time there and I was embarrassed and felt like I was being treated like a criminal. I bring my 4 year old daughter with me both times and this last trip my daughter knocked a jar of coffee from the cart and it broke. I felt as if I was being treated as a criminal. I was approached by security and and he did not speak my language and finally used his phone to tell me that I need to pay for the jar that was broke. Went and took a picture. I said I would pay for it. I get to the check out and I was explaining to the man that I broke a jar and was told the cashier I had to pay for the broken coffee. Shortly later another man came and the security man also. It made me feel very uncomfortable and it’s sad. This is such a big store and I had over 100$ in groceries and they could have excused a small $7 jar of coffee for an accident my daughter did. If this had been Krogers or another store they would have said it was fine. I did not like being felt to feel like a criminal. It was an accident. I was not walking through the store making a fool. I don’t know if I will return. There are many other Mexican stores I can go to. I am very disappointed. Especially since I was making a large purchase. Moral of the story, if you have children, for warning no grace is given.

This was my first time actually going into La Plaza Tapatia. I couldn't believe what I saw inside. I thought it was some sort of casino or some other kind of venue, but it was 1000 times better, it was a multi cultural grocery heaven! This was a lot cleaner, and better stocked than a similar store I've been to, I'm coming here from now on. All the produce looked fresh and tasty. The butcher/meats counter was clean and organized, everytype of meat, sausage, chicken & pork variations they had on display, mouthwatering. I can't wait to go back and see what interesting new items they have. Even the chip & cereal aisles have dozens of different varieties of products that I didn't know existed. I'm really glad we decided to stop here on the way home. This made my day, that much better, thank you. Gracias.

Store is very clean, exceptional for an internationally oriented store, well stocked, and prices are reasonable to well below average. This store would be worth 5 stars but I'm docking it one for two reasons. First, many of the employees I encountered did not understand English well, the store serves a lot of international customers who speak Spanish and that is the native language of most of the staff. Second, I was disappointed when I attempted to buy 1/4 of a pound of scallops. The guy kept asking if I said 4 pounds, I replied no, ONE Fourth then brought out a calculator and typed 0.25 to try to make it clear that is what I want. The guy acted bewildered. A second employee told me that they simply will not sell less than one pound. That is ironic. I was able to buy 1/2 pound of chicken stir fry from another employee. I think someone did not know the "seat of their pants" from a hole...
