We were very excited to try Zhu Shi Fu as soon as they had their soft opening! Parking was a little tricky and we had street parking. We came in at 5pm and the service was extremely slow. The server missed up our table number so by the time the group after us was served our food still didn’t come up. As apology, they brought us two appetizers before we waited for our first order (that wasn’t an appetizer) to come. The flavor of food was okay, we were disappointed to find out the special lamb skewer was not hot when it was served to us. Read moreThe beef and lamb special skewers were delicious (adults will like the spice profile but a kid could devour these). The skewers are cheaper and smaller as you're meant to get a bunch, but it's good value. Everything is cooked and they have a candlelit warming tray for the skewers to rest on when they bring them to your table.
They've also got some more unique cuts of meat that I've never eaten, so I tried the pork feet. The texture felt fatty/weird at first but I think it was just a new texture - after like 10 bites I was wondering if I was hooked.
Excited to buy more skewers and try the congee or ramen next time.

He frowned and said “they are new tables. It will be about 30 minutes”. I said “ok” and waited outside. During that time, another group came in and wrote their number down and gave it to him. While we were waiting, he called them and they came in and got seated!! Another group came in and he was talking to them in Chinese eyeing a table that was about to open.
