I've been wanting to try this place for a while. I can't explain why, but it just felt like it was going to be some bomb @$$ food. I was finally in the area on my way home to Keego Harbor, so it was the perfect opportunity to give them a try. I placed the order online from their website. When I arrived the tracker said my order was still being prepared and would be ready in 5 minutes, so I waited in the parking lot a few moments before heading inside. When I walked in there were two older gentlemen in the store. I'll assume them to be the cashier and the cook. Cash: How can I help you? Me: picking up an order for (name here) Cook: Starts gathering my order Cash: Still confused as to who I am and why I'm there. Me: Picking up an order for (name) Cash: Gets order from cook* did you pay? Me: Yes Cook: It's a Door Dash ( I had no clue it was through DD. I was on their website when I placed the order) Cash: Oh *hands me order Me: Thanks so much. Have a great night. Cook: You too, Her Majesty. 😂😂😂🫠 WHAT? I'm still sitting here thinking about this very strange interaction I had at 730pm and it is now 10pm.
MOVING ALONG
The food was flipping phenomenal. My guy got 3 meat medium, my son got only cheese medium, I got a personal Gail's Favorite, and we ordered a small pasta with meatballs, and small garlic bread. Everything was delicious. Probably the best pizza I've had since I moved to Michigan from Florida 4 years ago. Everything was so fresh and full of flavor. I hope this review doesn't get me blacklisted because I'm coming back for more. I'll just send my husband in next time for a pickup order. I'm not sure I'll ever recover from being called Her Majesty. This will probably keep me up tonight and I'll be telling everyone I know this story for the next month, at least. 🙃🫠😅 Signed with Sincere...
Read moreNot impressed. I’m sorry, I really wanted to like this place, but it really failed to come through. When I arrived for pick up, the person making my pizza was cooking the bacon topping in a pan, and then put it on my pizza, which ended being uncooked and just plain horrible. The pizza itself look sad, but I was still willing to give it a chance. I had to throw it in the oven first, to finish cooking the bacon and other sad toppings. (Which took longer to eat dinner). After finally tasting it, what a disappointment. It had absolutely no flavor, taste… NOTHING! It was like eating paper. Everything was unsalted and absolutely tasteless. The sauce had no taste, the cheese had no taste…. the peppers, onions and bacon were like eating cardboard. The crust was way too thin for the heavy toppings. Everything was bad. I tried to fix it and give it flavor by adding grated parm, oregano, ranch… nothing seemed to work. It was like eating paper. I really don’t know what they’re doing, or NOT doing, but this pizza needs help. I’m sorry to say, but this is the worst pizza I’ve ever...
Read moreThis is my go to pizza place! Small, family run fantastic business! Always consistently delicious, great service, and super fresh ingredients and toppings! My absolute favorite is the Dale’s pizza with the thin sliced potatoes & onion! You do have to be a fan of fresh garlic since they aren’t shy with the garlic, but that’s part of what make their pizza so damn tasty! They even have fresh basil growing by their door to top pizza with! Many of the pizzas are named after the people that run the place and/or related to. Pictured is a slice of Dales, Denise, and margherita pizza. They are all made on this delightful thin crust. To top it all off… the prices are fantastic! I’ve only had their pizza, but I’m sure everything else is awesome too! Carry out only… get it tonight… you won’t regret it! They even gave me a fudge bar to eat on my way home last time I was there since it was hot out....
