El Pollo Loco — Restaurant in Compton

If I could give it 0 stars I would. I personally love the burrito but last night I went to go purchase one before they closed like around 9:45pm and they gave me a MESS. So disappointed, I know they want to go home but they don’t have to serve me a slop, when I opened my burrito is was not wrapped properly and it was falling apart, so I went back around 10:30pm and they were cleaning up. I have never felt more humiliated in my life, I pulled in to the drive through to ask for a possible refund and they COMPLETELY ignored me, that were acting like I wasn’t waiting at the drive through window for about 5-10 mins, that can’t say the didn’t see me bc they were right beside the window. That’s so rude, it’s not hard to be polite, I comprehend they were closed but I just wanted to ask them for a refund. After waiting a worker who had already seen us but ignored us as well finally said his manager said that they couldn’t do anything about it or give me a refund for it, I felt disappointed because I felt like I was just throwing my hard earned money away. I will NEVER be coming to this location EVER again. Such rude people ignoring you like your invisible. I am not an animal to be giving slop and not even animal deserve to eat slop. I visited this location today. And I noticed the way one of the employees Karen was preparing my food. I had a concern about it. And she became very defensive. I expressed to her that I’m just inquiring. She was nasty and rude. Karen was not professional nor did she display any good customer service skills. We exchanged words back and forth. She was rude and disrespectful. When dealing with customers food there’s a way to handle food properly. The top manager really needs to look into this matter. I will certainly be contacting corporate regarding this. Just because we live in the inner city does not mean we should be subjected to ignorance in our community where we spend our money. I hope this el polo loco revamp and get this location together. Its always dirty and the tostada shells are always stale. The cilantro dressing is completely watered down. I wasn't really comfortable being there. This place looks like a low budget restaurant despite being a part of a chain. The tables and chairs seem to be of low quality and it's not making me feel too good about being here. The tables in the surrounding area appear to be quite dirty. It's easy to see why so many people opt for drive-thru services when ordering food.

As I was sitting in a restaurant, feasting on my chicken bowl, I noticed a homeless community in the parking lot outside. Suddenly, I was taken aback when a woman came inside, barely clothed, and requested a cup of water before quickly leaving. It was such a random and unexpected encounter!
