Jade Palace Buffet Restaurant — Restaurant in Compton

The Jade Palace Buffet, Chinese Cuisine, All You Can Eat, dinner meals are about 8.50 per person, drinks are sold separate (you can op for tap water). They utilize their space well, large group size tables on one side of the buffet counter and smaller size tables that sits one to two persons on the other side of the buffet counter. When we went into the restaurant, we notice that the restaurant was full with only one table left (to small to fit the three of us) but by the time we paid for our meal, two more tables opened up. The attendant immediately prepared the tables for new guest to sit down. We took turns washing our hands because there is only one restroom for all the guest to use, noticed that the hot water was hot, didn't have much water pressure, so it ran slower than usual, there were no paper towels are blower, so we use the napkins at the table. The food was fresh and hot, the usual chinese cusine, also, steamed white rice, some shrimp and baked fish, sushi, fresh fruits, jello, cakes and apple turners. I drinked the best raspberry ice tea ever made. They have a soft serve yogurt machine. We ate until we were satisfied, talk alot, enjoyed the tunes from the speakers, they ran the A/C at a moderate pace not to cold, loved the attendant, she keep thing moving, empty plates and dish promptly removed from the tables. To begin with customer service is the worst... The Hostess never smiles nor speaks but to ask how many adults and how much is it going to cost you... Other than that don't expect a smile or a welcome nor a thank you. I asked the hostess since he busses the table as well, do you get any tips? He replied "no"... Then I asked you wonder why?, He said "no", I told him it was because his attitude, he turned around and left. Now as for the food, the food is ok the few issues I had was that when the bring fresh food from the kitchen they mix it with the very old one, it doesn't even have a live color and they still mix it with the fresh food. I let the employee know that that isn't alright people can get sick like that, all he said was "no no no it's ok no problem". I also told him that it's a health issue and did not seem to care. If this restaurant doesn't care about your health then come here to eat. Food poisoning is a serious sickness that no one has time for that. Now as for the restaurant itself I give it a 1 out 5 stars... The floor is filthy, the condiments bottles are old and dirty, the tables are sticky, and the staff come out to eat and doesn't seem that they wash their hands. I did not like the man who receives you at the door he had a bad attitude.... I walked in this place for the very first time with my my 2 kids he said go ahead in sit down 1 minute later he comes too my table i haven't even sit down yet or even touch the food yet i was trying too find a place too sit when he comes up too me said you need too paid with A really bad attitude i told him wait a minute i been too other buffets they never asked for the money up front his going too tell me yes we do here with every customer he lie... because the gentleman that was sitting on the front said he had not paid yet .. smh i walked out the place he still charged my card i walked out because i felt like he just came too me because he assumed i did not have money i don't know but he though wrong i hate this place i will never go back only because the man in the front whom ever he is... i would like too tell him stop judging people by there looks or color or...
