Fishbone Seafood — Restaurant in Compton

My first time and ohh my gawd. It is a bit different but definitely don't want to Sleep on this place. Nobody paid me to type this . So my buddy invited me and i didn't know anything about this place. I got a po boy with fried shrimp , fire and pepsi. My mouth was in Heaven. My buddy ordered a fried Oyster po boy . He let me taste it , and boom 💥 😋 It was like a whole different story or even another level of Heaven , If you like Oysters this is the place to go get a Po boy Sandwich 🥪 😋. The bread was absolutely fresh and delicious the shrimp had an amazing taste so juciy and fresh. I wish i could have eatin more but i was so full it took me a minute to get up , lol . Let me tell you it was juciy and very filling. The Fries 🍟 had a season that was not familiar to me, very delicious. I think i have a new place to go enjoy. The price was very fair compared to other places. Definitely something i can go enjoy more than once a week. Im sorry i could not finish my meal but I tried really hard. I took it home and trust me i ate it all . I will definitely be returning. Staff was ok. Not rude but i kinda wish they would have recommended something as a new customer and first time eat this type of delicious food 😋. But maybe that's just me. So in my attempt to remedy this i will just have to sacrifice myself and go order different items and tell you all about the different things they serve. The food quality from here has always been exceptional and well seasoned however the cleanliness and appearance of the front of house has degraded over the years and it seems no one cares to clean properly up front.

This is concerning as a customer because if what we can see is this dirty I can only hope what we can't see in the back is clean.

I am only disappointed because I've seen what Fishbone was when it opened and I would love to see it back that way with all the love and care this location deserves.

Wet floor signs are caked in dirt, the trash bin is also filthy and the wall next to it. Table legs are caked in grime and all the corners have dirt and grime caked on from improper mopping/cleaning. There is dust and grease caked on the ceiling tiles and there is also grease buildup on the walls in the back where the Fishbone logo is.

These issues are not from just a busy week and potentially being short staffed, that is months of neglect and lack of care for...

I ordered on Uber Eatts for a party….be careful when ordering from this establishment. I ordered 7lbs catfish and 4 orders hush puppies spent $188. I was delivered 10 pieces of fish. Robbery.

Instead of filing a complaint to Uber Eats on a minority owned business I tried calling the restaurant. I was put on hold for about 6 minutes after asking for a manager. A young man picked up asked me my issue. I explained that I wanted nothing, expected nothing other than for the restaurant to be mindful not to let that happen to anyone else.
