Phat Noodles — Restaurant in Compton

This is a small pho restaurant in Compton.

I ordered a number 8 which was the shrimp pho. It was good. I also ordered a side of spicy edamame. They were okay. I wouldn't order them again if I'm being honest. I tried their coconut Thai iced tea. First time trying it with coconut and it was so good!

The host was polite, patient and attentive. She checked on me a couple of times after getting my food to make sure I had everything I needed and to make sure I was enjoying everything. She greeted me coming in and made sure she said goodbye as well. I appreciated that.

They had this really cool shirt up on the wall that read, "Don't pho get the Sriracha" and I thought it was so cute so I asked if they sold the shirts and the lady politely said no but that they are working on...

Wanted vietnamese food but I didn't want pho cuz it was hot outside. I asked them if they had Bun which is a staple dish of many vietnamese restaurant. She hadn't even heard of it 🤷 I ordered something similar to it a dry vegan noodle and they charged a whopping 4 dollars extra for a pathetic side of chicken. This tiny lil bowl was 18 dollars and I walked out still hungry. The flavor sucked. Was the worst I've ever had.. In all fairness, you won't find any other Vietnamese food in the area unfortunately. Time to go back to Gardena.. Maybe their pho is better but what I ordered wasnt good at all and even more overpriced than a legit Vietnamese restaurant outside of compton. Maybe I'll try it again...

Stubble upon this place while trying to avoid the traffic on my way to Mission Viejo. Got a little loss and was starving because I haven't eaten anything all day.

If you like noodles and have tried your share of the various types, you have to give this place a try.

It's simply different. Like anything soup based, the secret is in the broth. This broth is awesome.

I had the beef noodle and looking forward to trying the other items on the menue. They cater to vegetarians and vegans, but I'm a carnivore, so can't vouch for those bowls.
