I've tried 5 different creampuffs now and I am sorry to say they've all been mediocre desserts. The concept is fun: Choose your shell + filling + topping and the staff assembles your selection. The filling is the best part in my opinion, but even that doesn't taste particularly fresh or special. The employee working at the time even warned me from the purple filling (some kind of dragon fruit or taro). How can you expect strangers to enjoy your food when your own employees know it's bad :(
The blandest part is definitely the shell. It doesn't matter if you cover it with matcha or chocolate, the creampuff shell always the worst. It's not even particularly dry or poorly baked it just doesn't taste very good. For a bakery that specializes in one thing, you would hope that thing would be good.
Concord has so many good bakeries. 85°C Degrees just opened up and Alpine Bakery is a local treasure. Both have better tasting baked desserts. There's just no reason to come back here when these better options exist. I feel a little bad posting this because you can tell they're trying but the product just isn't very good. I hope they...
Read moreIt's totally unorganized, messy, and just not ready for opening. I went in on a Monday afternoon and walked right up to the counter to order. I was never warned that there would be a long wait, so I was a bit concerned when I was order 55, and they were currently calling out 37. I waited 45 minutes, and they had only made it order 47. I had no more time to wait, so I requested a refund. The "manager" started to help me with a refund but was quickly distracted by other complaining customers. The wait was so long I could literally go home and make creampuffs from scratch in the time it takes to wait at this place.
The staff needs some serious training. The manager needs to create processes and expedite orders and keep a countdown of items to be 86'd as almost every order had out of stock items that needed to be corredted before orders could be carefully and lovingly packaged as if they were hand grenades with loose pins. Also, management needs to consider limiting orders since fulfillment is so challenging "with the staffing shortage."

Read moreWe ordered a dozen of these creme puffs to go, 1/2 went to my niece and half came to me. I had two plain powdered sugar with chocolate filling, two Oreo Cookies n’ Cream Shell with chocolate filling, and two Ube Shell with Ube filling. I liked all of the flavors we ordered except the Ube did not taste like Ube to me, just my opinion. And I recommend you eat these right away. Don’t keep linger than a day. They’ll get soggy. And these are not overly sweet.
So this was a quick and easy order. Fast and friendly. The size of the creme puff were pretty good size, like the size of a muffin. I was surprised. The prize is around $3.90 to $4.20 depending on the flavor. So not too bad.
The place is really cute. It’s not huge though. So not really a place to hang...
