This is my third visit at this location and I've enjoyed myself every time. The wait staff is very nice, attentive and accommodating. It's hard to go to many locations with a stroller and a big group but this EJ Phair never disappoints. I will also say that my sister and mother are very hard to please. My mom expects generous portions with equal amounts of flavor. I can never seem to take her anywhere where she is pleased but she loves this location! My sister is very picky and can never seem to just order something on the menu. Instead she has to order something and completely make it her own. For example she ordered the Thai Salad with no cabbage, only romaine and substituted the coconut dressing. As picky as my sister is, EJ takes it all down and makes her order to her satisfaction! Well done on pleasing two very difficult women.

Besides the staff and service, the food and drinks are equally as delicious. At this location we've shared appetizers that include: Beer battered potstickers and garlic fries, and we've enjoyed salads and burgers. My mother doesn't even call this place by its name, she instead will ask, "Can we go to the place with the amazing burger!?" We all know she's talking about EJ Phair. Although my sister and mother don't drink alcohol, my husband and I do and we definitely enjoy the different brews.

We arrive, we're seated, we order water to start because it's soooooo hot outside. I head to the restroom, on the other side of the restaurant, and come back and...no water. I look through the menu and settle on the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich w/sweet potato fries and Hubby orders the weekly special: Buffalo Burger w/regular fries. We order when the waiter comes back (still no water) and Hubby orders a beer as well. When the waiter comes back with the beer, he then has the water with him. I'm parched at this point. The food came promptly. My sandwich was not what I was expecting. The chicken had a thick breading on the outside and was cooked to the point of no moisture. It appeared to have buffalo sauce on it, but I could barely taste it; the bleu cheese overwhelmed everything, even when I removed as much cheese as I could from the second half. Hubby couldn't taste the buffalo sauce on his burger either and was equally dismayed at the presentation. He described his meal, including the fries, as "disappointing." I'm giving the place 2 stars because their sweet potato fries were good. On the other hand, I've never had bad sweet potato fries. Will not be coming back after the poor service and...

First service...bartender was attentive and friendly which gives one star. Second star goes to the fact that their beer is pretty good, whether its in house or the guest beers. What took stars away was a couple items. Confusing staff...had to go to the bar to get drinks and had no idea who our server was. A kitchen staff member ended up helping out along with a busser to fill in the waiting gaps...as for food gordan ramsay would say there are these things called salt and pepper...use them!! Twice now the burger was bland and had little to no seasoning...also was rare when medium was asked for....and if you like ranch on a salad dont order it as there is only spring mix which with ranch pretty much turns it into spinach dip. This location is good for drinks but the food lacks with the service. If you want good ej phair food and service stick to the pittsburg location. They hit every box all around to give a great family food experience. 70 dollars for a burger that was bland...a salad that lacks substance and zuchini sticks and fries with 3 drinks was too much...
