I Love Teriyaki & Sushi — Restaurant in Concord

My parents have been coming to this restaurant since my mom was pregnant with me, I am 17 and I’ve been coming to this place since I was born. Everything about this place is beautifully crafted and made with so much love. I still remember when the were right by the movie theater across the street, my family and I would everyday of the weekend bc of how much we love it. The owners and their daughter are amazing people, the cooks/sushi makers are hardworking and make the most delicious food, served fresh with outstanding flavors, the waiters and waitresses are always nice and welcoming, as well hardworking. The owners are there making sure everything is at place and you feel welcomed, either in the kitchen, working at the cash register or simply making a heart warming environment. My usual order when I go is 1(or 2) candy roll(s), love wings and sometimes I’ll go with the kids spicy chicken. All their food is the most delicious and enjoyable food I’ve ever had. In 2 weeks I am moving across the country and I’m very saddened that these days will be my last ones of eating at my favorite restaurant. This place is an incredible gem in concord. The wife and I have eaten here dozens of times and always leave satisfied and full. There is a great selection of sushi and other treats, and a huge (15ish) selection of beers on tap. The ramen is also great if you’re in the mood for some warm comfort food. The appetizers show up quickly and don’t disappoint. As for the staff, they are very quick and friendly, and since most of them are family they really have great suggestions. If you like nigiri, I would suggest the butterfish or of course the toro. They also have the ability to make any sushi insanely spicy with a blend of capsasian powder if you are a chili head, just ask for a level 10! The wings are fantastic, called the love wings. I have been eating here often (twice in the same day a few times :D ) since 2001. The owner is there often and every time anything has been wrong he generally makes it right. If someone has a bad experience at this place, you should talk to him about it, respecfully, and i am sure he will make it right. The teriyaki plates are what drags me here. Recently i tried chicken katsu donburi and it is amazing and filling. If you want something great, ask for the teriyaki roll with lion king sauce...i just love this place

As for wait times, sushi tends to take a little longer because they make it fresh and have tons of demand for sushi and 2 guys...i dont care for sushi but i have heard nothing but complements from my friends...they love the sushi there. If you are the person that cant wait for food, order spicy chicken or pork teriyaki....
