The experience at Charros was decent overall, but nothing that really stood out. We started with the chips and salsa, which were probably the highlight of the meal—crispy, fresh chips and a nice variety of salsas with good flavor. For the main course, I ordered La Charra. It came with beans, rice, chicken, bell peppers, and melted cheese. The portion was generous and the plate looked great, but the overall flavor was just okay. It could’ve used a little more seasoning to bring everything together. For dessert, we tried the cheesecake burrito and the cookie skillet. The cheesecake burrito had more of a plain cream cheese taste than a true cheesecake flavor—kind of bland and lacking depth. The cookie skillet looked really mushy and underwhelming in texture. Service was fine and the atmosphere was casual and comfortable. I wouldn’t rule out coming back, but it wasn’t a must-return experience either.

Terrible service and unwilling to right their wrongs, but good food. Ordered food for pickup, get it back home and there is cheese all over an order specifically marked as no cheese, no sour cream, no dairy. Also forgot fries for a kid's quesadilla. Called to get a refund on what was messed up (literally can't eat it because of the dairy) and was told they can't refund it because the order is through UberEats... right... sounds like you should use another processor since refunds are a pretty normal thing. Also the guy on the phone had the audacity to act like we were lying saying he checked it himself. Too bad camera phones exist! The rice and beans were good, though!

We wanted to try this place, since it's part of the newly renovated Downtown Concord. It didn't disappoint. The complimentary chips came with three kinds of salsa, all tasty. The queso was tasty, and a good consistency (not runny, like I've seen in other places). I had the Fiesta Tacos (pictured). Just two tacos, but stuffed with so much food I had trouble picking them up! Lots of chicken, beans, corn, mango, and more. Very tasty and filling. The service was efficient and courteous. The atmosphere was fine, but it feels like they still need to add some final touches to the decorating. All in all, a great addition to Downtown Concord. We'll be back!

The service was good. They really went out of their way to get it right and correct any mistakes. We felt very appreciated.

The food was good, but portions were kind of small and not as filling as we hoped.

The environment felt more like a cafeteria on Mars than a restaurant on Earth. The walls are solid dark blue with blue/white décor. The furniture is black and the lights are 5k LEDs (lightning white). Everything is in rows, so it almost feels like you're just herded in and out like cattle. It's a little bit of an odd feeling and could definitely use some warming up with some more color and a more welcoming environment.

One thing I was really disappointed about though was that it's in a social district and there is a perfect spot right up front by a huge window that would be a perfect place for a bar where people could hang out. Instead, they just have booths and tables and a dark blue wall to look at. Maybe they will change that. I would LOVE to go there and hang out at the bar and watch some games, especially right there by the window with natural...

Our family of four ate here around 1:30 on Labor Day. A few people were eating outside but we opted to eat inside. We were the only ones in there but were seated quickly and our waitress Anna was very polite. The chips came with 3 kinds of salsa and a bean dip which was very good. My son and I both had steak tacos. They were tasty but the steak was not as (temp) hot as I would have liked. Felt like it had been sitting out (?) The steak was well-seasoned though. My other son ordered grilled chicken tacos but they came with watery pulled chicken and peppers and he wouldn't eat them. The waitress later apploligized and said the kitchen messed it up. She did offer for them to remake them but we declined. My husband's dish with the best thing at the table, the Chef's Special. With 4 sodas and cheese dip it came out to $75 before tax and tip. Will probably go again and try...
