Luna Restaurant — Restaurant in Concord

I’ve eaten dinner at Luna several times over the past 4 years and I’ve always had a pleasant dining experience. Today was an exception that I will never forget. The restaurant was bustling with guests which is common. Many times when I dine in there’s a large party or event. My experience started off promising and I was seated promptly at my 6:15p reservation. I was somewhat concerned if my meal would be affected by the larger party but didn’t pay it much attention as this was a common occurrence.

The wheels feel off 30 minutes after placing our dinner order. The waiter told us our meal was in the process of being plated. An additional 45 minutes later our food showed up (total wait time 1 hr 15 minutes). I tried to get over the delay but was confronted with two other issues. My wife’s salmon was under cooked and I was given a side dish with potatoes when it was described to be all vegetables.

The waiter realized our dinning experience was falling apart and offered more bread and complementary drinks. I declined both and simply wanted what we had originally ordered. I expressed my dismay with the under prepared food, being given lines as stall tactics and being misinformed about the side dish. The waiter apologized but at this point our dinner was ruined. My wife’s dish was remade and delivered after the (3) of us completed our meals. The evening ended with them pushing free deserts on us even though we really didn’t want them.

So my daughter decided on Italian food for her 13th birthday dinner. Choose this spot after seeing some positive reviews. I put in an order for $165 worth of food online. I put in the order 1 hour in advance and when my wife arrived to pick up, she was ignored and wasn’t acknowledged for 10 minutes after entering. Instead of the hostess greeting her a sous chef had to point out that she was standing there. The bartender/server was an up tight disrespectful young kid named max who came across to be possibly racist. Instead of greeting my wife a couple that was behind her who entered after was greeted and helped which makes no sense. She was finally approached and when she explained that she was there for pickup with email proof of order confirmation. The woman hesitated and went to the kitchen looking for an explanation from other workers. They return with a response for my wife saying that they never received our order but my wife was providing proof of purchase and receipt. Long story short they never admitted to making a mistake instead they ask my wife to wait 10 minutes while they started on the order. The food was bland and watery the only good thing was bread that came for the pesto dip. Sorry to say we won’t be back and let’s just say Im glad I wasn’t the one there to pick up. Terrible experience & extremely disappointed. We came here for our friend’s wedding dinner and everything seemed to be going well until I got home. I ordered the chicken parmesan, and only ate half of it at the restaurant. Later that evening I went to eat the rest of my food after getting home and found that I was given a fully raw chicken breast. This is absolutely horrendous. I drove 40 minutes back to the restaurant the next day to have them fix the issue and they offered to make me another meal.. yeah no thanks. They also charged us for 2 garlic breads although we did not order the garlic bread, someone else at the table did. We had already told him once that we didn’t order garlic bread and he still made the mistake of keeping 2 orders on our bill. We were just ready to get out of the restaurant and willing to cover the garlic bread for our friends who did order it. We spent $140 total for 2 people, and for serving me a COMPLETELY RAW chicken breast got $28 back. This is absolutely pathetic and there are no excuses. The one that I did eat must not have been cooked fully either (it was dark outside and the lights were dimmed in the restaurant so I probably wouldn’t have been able to tell anyway) but I was up sick all night. I have had much better experiences at Chili’s over this place.
