My recent dining experience at Longhorn Steakhouse in Concord, New Hampshire, had its highs and lows. The restaurant exudes an upscale charm, with warm lighting, sleek wooden accents, and a refined atmosphere that feels ideal for a special night out. It’s a notch above casual chains like Texas Roadhouse, but the prices reflect that—steaks start at $23, and the menu, especially the alcoholic drinks, leans expensive. Cocktails are well-made but carry a hefty price tag, so budget accordingly.
We specifically asked the host for a table away from the bar’s noise, hoping for a peaceful meal. Disappointingly, the host seated us right next to the kitchen, a bustling hub of clanging dishes and staff rushing in and out. To our dismay, we saw empty booths in a quiet, cozy section that would’ve been perfect, but the host denied us those, likely prioritizing convenience for the staff. It was a frustrating misstep for such an upscale spot.
Thankfully, the service redeemed the experience. The waitstaff was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and genuinely invested in making our meal enjoyable. Our food arrived swiftly, too. The chicken tenders were exceptional, perfectly crispy with juicy, well-seasoned meat that stole the show. The chop steak was just okay, not quite worth its cost. The complimentary bread was decent but couldn’t compare to Texas Roadhouse’s iconic rolls and butter.
Despite the host’s poor seating choice, Longhorn’s upscale vibe, stellar service, and dishes like those tenders make it a worthwhile destination for a treat. It’s not a budget-friendly spot, especially with those pricey drinks, but the quality keeps it appealing. Just cross your fingers for a better table to fully savor...
Read moreMy family and I love Longhorns the food is always good and the drinks aren't terrible and the service isn't typically bad. We went in tonight 7/2 around 7, we had a male server (taller guy). I don't think he mentioned his name. My fiancé ordered the perfect margarita (we have ordered this in the past) it was not good at all this time around. There was no tequila it tasted like watered down sour mix. My son ordered a shirley temple which when it came out it was basically just sprite we asked our server if he could add some more grenadine he then proceeded to say "sure I can add a healthy splash to that" he then comes back with the drink hands it to my 8 year old and says " here you go, now if that isn't enough I can go pour half of the grenadine bottle in there." I'm sorry but that is extremely rude, how about you keep your comments to yourself and just get us what we kindly asked you for. We ordered a side of the corn on the cob for my son, it was a very sad looking corn on the cob to say the least. We then ordered the stawberries and cream shortcake, it came out and it was just a piece of shortcake with stawberries there was no stawberry sauce which was extremely dry without the sauce, we mentioned it to our server and he takes it from us and says to us " let me go make it more fancy for you" it wasn't about making anything fancy it was about getting what was suppose to come with the dessert. He then comes out and says sorry I guess they ran out of the sauce.... at that point we just wanted to leave. We were very disappointed with the service and...
