This is for McDonald at the intersection of hwys 601 & 49. This is hands down the WORST McDonalds I have ever visited. This is not based on 1 visit, this location is near my home and I have been visiting since they built it, they used to be great, but the last 2 yrs have been awful. If I could give negative 5 stars I would still feel that is too much. I have tried to complain to management on several occasions, one of which yelled at me that I just wanted free food when the cashier messed up my order (they rang the items up separately instead of as a combo and items were missing from my bag),the others roll their eyes or just walk off when I tell them I don't want free food I just want what I paid for. Some of the employees are rude and would rather socialize with coworkers than do the job they are paid for( some are great too). The wait times are ridiculous, I realize the food is now assembled to order, and quarter pounders are cooked to order now, but since when does it take 15-20 minutes to make a QP w/ cheese? The hot coffee is somehow usually cold, my fry box is never full and the fries are often cold when I get home because they will hand me fries and then pull me to wait for my burgers. 9 times out of 10 if I go through the drive thru I end up inside because something is missing or wrong. I ordered a 50 PC nugget and a dinner box, paid for extra sauces, and when I got home my box was full of ketchup with no sauce, when I went back, their excuse was they were out of the sauces I paid extra for so they put handfuls of ketchup instead of asking me if I would like another flavor. They pulled me one morning in the pouring rain to wait for hash browns, I had to go inside after 15 min of waiting, barefooted and in pajamas, and their excuse was they thought I didn't pay for hash browns, when I told the manager that was unacceptable, why would they pull me over to wait for hash browns if I didn't pay?, she asked to see my receipt to prove I paid then told the cashier to give me my damn hash browns and walked off. They were recently out of buns, so no sandwiches that day. My most recent visit, was at 11:45 in the afternoon, today i was alone and my order was a large fry and large sweet tea, my fries, AGAIN, were cold, the sweet tea urns were empty, and there was no ice in the ice machine, and they were out of large cups for soda and tea, and it wasn't even busy with lunch rush yet. I have tried again and again at different times hoping for new management getting things in order, but this location is continuously the worst location I have ever visited. Yes, I have taken the surveys on the receipt but they do nothing about it, not to mention they don't allow enough characters in the complaint box for a real complaint. I never take free food from the managers so they will know my complaints are serious and not just trying to get free food. I am done with this location, I drive all the way to the Harrisburg location on hwy 49 (this location is awesome BTW, everyone is fast, friendly, and my order is always right) when I want McDonalds. I realize my orders are usually large, I am often feeding up to 6 people, but when you have a regular customer who spends $30 to $40 (sometimes more) per visit, I think the least I could do is make sure the order is right. This McDonalds is a waste of my time and money, and I strongly urge you not to waste yours. If you do decide to risk it, just a heads up, they only accept cash and no coupons between 3am and 4 am ish , and pray the person taking your money can do math and count change because the registers are down that...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have no opinions about the national coin shortage either way. However, I assume it can be confusing and frustrating in the retail environment. This morning, my order totaled $4.59. When I handed the cashier a $5 bill she explained to me that she would not be able to give me any change/coins back due to the coin shortage. At that point I handed her $0.60 and asked her to give me a dollar back. She seemed to get upset with me, closed the window, walked a few steps over and although I could not hear what she was saying I got the impression that she was not happy with my request for whatever reason. A manager rushed around the corner, handed me a dollar bill, and then began to fuss at me for asking for the dollar back. I assumed her cashier did not explain that I had also given her the 60 cents so I just kept listening and she kept complaining. At first I just said okay and yes ma'am just trying to get through it but because she was raising her voice at me and continued on.. I did place the dollar back into the window and asked for my $5 bill and my 60 cent back. The manager walked off mad, the girl gave me my $5 bill then I still had to ask her again for my 60 cents. She handed it to me with a snarl.. In the end it was my loss because I drove away with no food but it was honestly very embarrassing to be treated that way by employees. My suggestion to customers.. have coins with you or be willing to forfeit the difference in which Ive done previously, no problem. My suggestion to employees, be mentally prepared if the customer chooses to pay differently once the transaction has started. It happens with or without coin shortages. Also, I was inside the same location the previous day. Customers were being told that they had to use the kiosk to place their orders. I noticed an elderly man struggling to use the screen. He eventually walked out without ordering. It would be helpful if the kiosk was optional for customers rather...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHorrible experience on a road trip back home today. This is likely the worst McDonalds experience and service we have ever had. We ordered our food via drive thru and were asked to pull into a waiting spot while we waited on our food to be prepared. Upon receipt of the order the fish filet meal sandwich which was supposed to be a double no tarter had tarter on it. The spicy deluxe was not a deluxe and the triple cheeseburger was burnt. Went in to get the order corrected and the manger had the worst attitude. She was screaming at the workers about checking their screens. She furthermore felt the need to argue with me about the fact that we paid for a single not a double and charged me an additional $2.59 for one fish patty while I waited for them to fix our order as if she was personally paying out of her pocket herself. When the girl rang me up I jokingly said you all are really charging me almost $3 for 1 patty and the manager butted in and said yes because you didnāt pay for it! She also insisted that they canāt burn burgers refusing to provide a fresh burger when my husband showed her a clearly burnt patty. When I received the chicken sandwich back it was messy and like rubber. I couldnāt even eat it. If that wasnāt enough after walking back to the car and in the process of getting situated so that we could leave a worker walked out and informed us that we could not sit in the parking spot and then walked away. Once he was inside he sat there peaking out the glass waiting for us to leave. I honestly have no idea how this location is still in business. Will not be back. I suggest trying the Bojangles located next door as a potential...
