This was a HORRIBLE experience. If I could give it zero starts I would. Management definitely needs to know about their behavior. We went on 12-17-2020 at around 9:45 pm. I pulled up and saw the sign that the lobby was closed and to either call or make an online order. I made an oline order. I ordered 2 pizzas, jalapeno poppers, and 2 drinks. I believe the total was around $41. I called the number and my order said it was ready. I had my kids in the car, so my dad went to the door to pick up our order. The door was locked because the lobby was closed which is understandable. There was two people working inside. A woman cooking and an older gentleman. My dad knocked on the window to get their attention. The lady laughed and never came to the door. My dad waited 5 minutes and no one came to the door. I walked up to the door. I heard the lady said that guy keeps knocking on the door and laughs again. My dad knocked again and they ignored both of us. They turned up the music inside. The older gentleman sat at a table behind the counter and pulled out a deck of cards. Then a younger guy walked up from inside and sat with the older guy. All three continued to ignore us. I told my dad to go back to the car because he cant stand too long due to recent back surgery. As soon as my dad left, the younger guy looked up came over and opened the door. He then said, "may I help you?" I told him i was picking up an order. He handed me the order. I asked him why they didnt open the door for my dad and all he said was, "do you want any extra sauce?" I was furious but knew nothing would get accomplished by talking to them about the issue at the present moment. My 3 four year olds in the car were hungry and we wanted to go home. So I took the pizza and left. As I was sitting in the car getting everyone situated, the younger guy comes out, grabs the vapor that was sitting just outside papa john window sill and starting smoking standing right outside the door. HORRIBLE! I have pictures to back up my...
Read moreEmployees are not managed: Hi! I am not typically one to send a bad review, but from the customer service industry myself, you should know that I feel concerned about how the store is managed at: 3805 Concord Pkwy S Suite 112, Concord, NC 28027. Our order was incorrect and even one of the errors was my fault...while speaking with the sweet girl who answered my phone call, I could hear ALL the other employees in the background talking about other customers, they were so loud. I tried to look past it, but suddenly realized I did not feel comfortable having a part of my order remade and re-sent. I truly felt like this team would have stepped on, and or, spit in my food (just by the background chatter I could hear- it was TERRIBLE. I've never experienced something like this before.). I, uncharacteristically, immediately asked for the manager, she picked up and told me that the employees were just slow and bored. Um, no. The manager there needs to learn how to actually MANAGE, and I will NEVER order from this store again. I have been ordering from here since 2013. NEVER AGAIN. Everyone at this store needs to be...
Read morePizza tastes great, as always, but the inability to properly cut a pizza is unacceptable. This is now the third consecutive order where our pizza looks like it was cut by a preschooler.
Edit: Gave Papa John's another chance because we've had plenty of good experiences in the past. I should point out that they were all at other locations. Ordered 4 large create-your-own pizzas for carryout the other day, 3 of which had extra toppings. I was charged extra for the toppings as expected, but when I opened the boxes at home for the kids to eat, I noticed that there were barely any toppings. One pizza was ordered with tomato and spinach... There were four small pieces of tomato and four small spinach leaves on that large pizza. Couldn't even tell if the extra cheese I ordered on the cheese pizza was there. Looked just like the other three minus the toppings.
When I drop $50 on pizza, I expect better quality. Not spending another dime at this...
