This place is great, lots of variety and all top quality. Needed a cheese steak one night, tired of all the "usual" cheese steak venues around, I thought I'd give Izenberg's a try. It was awesome! My favorites used to be Jim's and Dalesandro's, but Izenberg's topped them both. Tasty, soft long roll with just the right amount of cheese and fried onions, this was the perfect cheese steak. Also, the quality of meat appeared much better and less fatty than that of its competition. To seal the deal, Izenberg's uses better packaging for take-out. They don't roll it up in cheap paper; their packaging keeps the cheese steak hot and in perfect shape. Their bagel sandwiches are great too! They offer a very nice selection of sandwiches and again, they package their food very well for take-out. The dessert case looks amazing, reason enough for a visit. Lastly, they are always friendly and offer service with a smile. I highly recommend Izenberg's based on my experiences there.

Been here several times and have always enjoyed it but today is the absolute worst experience I have had here. The server was someone new that I had never seen before and clearly new bc she had absolutely no personality and the wait for the food was ridiculous. Two tables that came in after us received their food before us. We had to end up asking another waitress for our food. When we finally received our food, the bacon was hard as a brick , the home fries were burned and the other food was barely warm. The waitress never came to our table to check on us and we had to ask another waitress for refills on coffee. I am hoping that after reading this review management either take the time to train new staff better or hire better. I will give it another try but if i experience this again I will never return.

Go Vegan philly is the perfect introduction into fine vegan dining! I'm not in any way vegan but wanted to try something new since I'm a picky eater. When we arrived there was plenty of close parking. There is about 10 upward steps, and a handicap ramp on the reverse side. Plenty of spacious seating and a few intimate booths which was a plus for date night. We Were greeted and seated promptly. We ordered the "cheese steak", "Krabcakes appetizer", French fries, "buffalo bites", and last but not least the "mac and cheese" . Also the pressed peach juice and half and half lemonade. It was all delicious! The staff was very friendly and we had a special treat to have one of the owners come out and speak with us. Thank you Shaun, and staff for the pleasant dinner.

I worked here for several years. I left last week. I just want my regular customers to know that they completely undervalued and underappreciated me. They consistently don't provide their employees with the tools to be successful(toasters and coffee machines constantly breaking, tablets with no battery from broken chargers, no ice until at least an hour after open to name a few). The owners have never taken responsibility or truly fixed these and other things; They put bandaids on a gaping wound. The owner once made a mistake with a child's name on a cake. She had someone lie and say she left, and made me stay to fix it, when my shift was already over. I felt like I HAD to. She never apologized after I told her how uncomfortable it made me, and she blamed the customer's husband for not looking at the cake the first time. And although I'm not perfect, I was one of the best staff members...I stayed for the customers and my coworkers, but I just want people to know the truth as to why I'm no longer there. Julia Izenberg will tell people differently, as she mentioned in her text to me(see edit), to preserve their image.

Edit: Julia Izenberg just contacted my personal phone number 3 weeks after I have left to berate and blame me. I worked there for 6 years and was such an issue that they just let me keep working? I was an UNHAPPY employee from THEIR treatment. They will...

I really hate leaving a negative review since this is one of my favorite breakfast spots. I ordered fried matzo well done and it came out barely cooked. My server gladly took it back and brought back it back 15 minutes later, dropped it and said “this is much better” and ran off. I swear was the same undercooked original plate she took back. There was a total of 3 people in the restaurant and she proceeded to sweep, chat and refuse to even look in my direction while my coffee cup needed attention. I got up to refill it myself since the conversation she was having didn’t seem to be waining anytime soon. She got the idea refilled my cup and chastised me for not hunting her down. Did I get the idea wrong? Thought since servers depend of gratuity, they’d be more client aware. Sorry. I really do like this place but hated...
