I’ve stayed at this location a few times it’s usually pretty convenient for certain venues that I go to for local associations and I am a longtime Marriott Bonvoy member. I always have well over 100 a year and I stay at Marriott all over the country and I know they’re not all equal, from the outside and entering, this does appear to be a better than average Marriott the staff is very welcoming and inviting big smiles you meant you would expect with a full service Marriott, including a concierge lounge. However, the concierge lounge is nice looking, but it’s really not as good as some of the ones I’ve been in, they do have beverages excluding coffee through the day and then at night for like 5 to 7. They have some cheese and bologna and vegetables last night they had fried macaroni and cheese bites. No alcohol to speak in the club. The room is nice I was upgraded to a corner king room, the gym area in this particular property really lacks basically a few pieces of cardio equipment one dumbbell tree with dumbbells up to 50 but they are missing two sets I believe 10 and 25s and then they have a hanging machine to do pull-ups and the ups and two benches Which is sort of funny they have two benches and one dumbbell tree. It is relatively small basically like a room that they use for the gym that overlooks the pool and the pool did appear nice heated and there is a separate hot tub as well. I did not utilize either, but I did check them out, additionally at the gym, the cardio treadmill that I was on the TV did not work. It was basically fuzz and it would blink on and off no signal, which is a little irritating if you’re on one of the machines that face a wall because it literally gives you nothing to look at or watch while you’re running The basic offerings at the motel store normal snacks, no ice cream to speak of or merch that some of the bigger ones do have overall it’s better than average Marriott. I do feel they could put a little more money into the gym. Definitely could use some upgrades and they also offer free on site parking which is nice most Marriott in and or around a bigger city usually charge for parking, the breakfast that they offer for Bonvoy platinum titanium and ambassador status complementary is pretty decent not the best, but definitely better than normal and again the staff in the breakfast area is very nice. Marriott does a great job with their vetting of employees. They definitely look for a certain caliber of a personality and dealing with thepeople that they see day and day out, so kudos to them for that

I chose to rate with a 3 star in hopes that my review would actually get noticed. My issue is not specific to just this hotel but is a trend that is happening in a lot of hotels. The thermostats in the rooms are being changed to motion activation. With no way to change it to stay a consistent temp. This has been a major issue for me and I would assume in the vast world I am not the only one. Hotel rooms never have fans so the only way to get air flow is to have the central air running and I also like to sleep in full pajamas so keeping it a cool 68 is perfect for me. I have been traveling for work more lately and found it extremely difficult to sleep because at around 1am I find myself waking up moist with sweat, finding out that the air is off and the temp in the room was 75. I figure I might have forgotten to set it and lowered it to 68 but noticed there was no way to set it to stay only Auto and Off were the options... Well maybe now it will be fine so I enjoyed the cold air flow and drifted back off to sleep. I was up again at 3am to the same thing. The temp was 73 and I was sweating.... I get the idea that the hotels want to save money and not heat or cool a room with no one in it but at night there is no movement so the schedule should freeze or be allowed to stay on a selected temp. Because I spend all night in fluctuAting temps going from cool to sweating to cool again I have come home sick multiple times and I believe beyond a doubt this is why. Please consider this before booking and hotel owner/managers PLEASE reconsider these thermostats. If you want to save the. Get smarter thermostats that can be controlled by the desk so if there is a guest it won't just shut off. Photo taken after read justment at 3am and 20 mins of cooling. Oh and the curtains wouldn't close completely. So welcome to the peep show....

I was not sure what to rate this hotel after a 10 days stay, started as a pleasant 5 star stay, but ended up sounding like no more than OK stay. Checking in was pleasant, welcoming and fast. Two days after, I found out that there is no ice in my floor (empty container). Reception answer to that is that I go to the floor up and the one down searching for ice, if I don’t find any to call him back. It should have been an easy, sorry about that we will get you some immediately. Three days after, house keeping missed placing coffee and paper cops in my room, no big deal. Called the front desk twice over 45-60 minutes. After walking to reception, I was offered to take coffee to my room. On the morning of check out, I asked for a 2:00 pm check out. What appeared to be the shift manager was negative and repulsive in her answer. She could have easily accommodated my needs and or have been more professional. I came to know that the floor I am staying in is getting remodeled on that day. That was the excuse for not extending check out. A better service would have been to try to accommodate a guest for 2 hours in a different floor. The offered lounge is nice, but not comfortable with no bathroom. I used the restaurant, Legends, for breakfast and dinner. Dealt with numerous staff. It has always been pleasant and professional. Food was great for both breakfast and dinner. Hotel was quiet and had no issues in that regard. Clean room, clean bed and sheets. Mattress and pillows were very comfortable. Another example where owners and/or management invest right in assets, but hire the wrong people to manage it.

Stayed at hotel for meeting space for small 7 person meeting. Was told by catering sales team I would be charged $500 for room, minimum $150 food & bev. After my secretary dropped the ball on booking something else, I was forced into booking. Marriott cam down to $400 on room rental (in addition to my room rate) and waived the $150 food & bev requirement. But when I asked for a TV so I could connect my laptop it was going to be $475 for audio/visual. They dropped the price on that to $50. I was exhausted dealing with it at this point. Asked the front desk if a suite was available to accomodate 7 ppl with a dining room table we could gather around and TV I could plug into. They said yes to both. How much? $300 room rate - sold. 'Can you put a white board in the room for us to use?' I was told yes but it wasn't there when I arrived. No dining table either. Entry door damaged at bottom and looked trashy. When I asked after my arrival for the 2nd time for the white board to write on, the front desk staff said I would be charged for the white board and the catering manager would come talk to me. After waiting 5min for the catering manager and not showing up, I said to forget it. Done nickle and diming. I went to breakfast at Legends Bar & Grill. Buffett costs $20/person. I went elsewhere because I was sick of how pricey everything seemed at this hotel. Next, I ordered lunch for my team's working lunch meeting from a local sandwich shop. When they dropped off, I specifically asked them to deliver to the room because we were already actively in the meeting but Marriott front desk wouldnt allow the driver past the lobby. Marriott said it was Marriott policy not to allow delivery persons up. I guess I understand the desire to provide a level of security, but Marriott never called to tell me or anything. The front desk never bothered to call and let me know the food was there nor did they offer to bring it up to my room. I had to interupt my meeting, leave the room, and go downstairs after the driver dropped it off. I gave the front desk 5-10min min specifically to see if they would at least call me to let me know it was there for me to come down and grab or, God forbid, bring it up themselves but they never did. When I went down to get it, there was a group of 4 or 5 people standing there talking. At this point, Im angry. Next, by no fault of Marriotts, the sandwich shop didnt include plates, napkins, silverware. I called down to the front desk and politely asked if they could bring up 7-10 plates (paper, glass, whatever) for the pizza. They said sure. After 10-15min, no plates. Called down again and they said they heard my request the first time. Plates never came. I've never had so many interactions with front desk staff where they noticably act put out by my requests for some level of help/service. Several of the front desk staff on Wednesday, 9/7 were rude to me - even confrontational (Chantel). I'd say the customer service is horrendous here if there was any to speak of. This hotel seems unhappy to or unwilling to provide even the most basic level of service. Or maybe they just lack accountability for the way some of their staff behaves. I felt like a big inconvenience to most of the people I dealt with despite being courteous and reasonable with those...

We stayed for 2 nights at this Marriot and were totally impressed. The entire staff we encountered was absolutely fantastic. The best I have ever experienced in any hotel I have gone to. The staff was friendly, went above and beyond to be helpful and accommodating in all situations and they did it all with a smile each and every time. It wasn't just one specific person or shift, it was all of them during our stay. It was top notch customer service from check in to check out.

The hotel itself is nice and very clean! Our room was immaculate when arrived. Which was wonderful. The last thing you want to have to do when you arrive from a long trip is to clean/wipe down a poorly maintained room. There was not one speck of dust anywhere. It was great! The room is modern and updated and has a beautiful walk in shower with a sliding glass door. There is different lighting options and plenty of outlets and a few USB ports to hold and charge electronics. There is decent storage in the room and if you are on a upper level, the views aren't half bad. During our stay, things were pretty quiet. I have seen in other reviews that things were super noisy and I was a little worried about that. This was not our personal experience at all and our room was directly next to the elevators. While we were in our room, halls were quiet and there weren't a lot of slamming doors. We did occasionally hear people talk but it was usually brief as they were walking to and from their rooms.

We dined at Legends pretty much the entire weekend while we were there. The food is a bit pricey but there is a lot of it and it was delicious. Our waitstaff was great! The burgers were cooked to order, the Boom Boom shrimp was flavorful, my daughter loved the giant pretzel. Our waiter accommodated my 10 year old daughter who wanted a salad one night but with alterations to the base salad and it wasn't even a problem. There isn't a children's menu, which should be looked at for a future menu addition, even if it's 2 or 3 choices. There were several children in the hotel and we saw them dining in the restaurant as well so I am sure other parents were thinking the same thing.

We used the pool/hot tub while we were there. The pool area was clean and had fully stocked towels and several seating options. I noticed there is a outdoor space (for warmer weather) to sunbathe on. The hot tub was pretty much the only negative to our trip. I was looking forward to sitting in a nice relaxing hot tub to sooth sore muscles but the water was not hot at all. It was lukewarm at best. There should be a timed heating option on the hot tub. Similar to turning on the jets. I was disappointed but it wasn't a deal breaker and the positives of this Marriot definitely surpassed any minor negatives.

Overall our stay was enjoyable and a positive one. We would stay at this Marriot again and also recommend it to friends and family who may travel to this area. Kudos to the...
