My friends and I had reservations for 7:30pm 2 days after their opening day. The decor and atmosphere amazing and exceeded expectations. The service, I was surprised, was horrendous. Some of my friends got there probably about 5 minutes before me and had told me ahead of time the waiter was very rude. I thought maybe he was just flustered since it was opening week, but when I came in I also felt that vibe. It was almost as if he was annoyed we were there. I will say a woman that looked sweet did walk over and check on us that was not our server and got me my drink when I walked in. The hostesses were polite when bringing them back to the table, but the waiter did not introduce himself and basically sat them down and immediately told them there was nothing food wise on the menu. No, "how are you guys", "can I get anything started for you". He kept forgetting the drinks we ordered, but that to me is to be expected and understandable when just opening. When he came over when I was seated he never asked if we needed/wanted anything and just seemed annoyed by us being there. He did ask toward the end of our hour there if we wanted any other drinks, but I had politely said we would just take the check. We were very uncomfortable with the way he was treating us and he seemed stunned that we were leaving already. We paid and I did tip him over 20% because I also work in the service industry and would never do that to someone, even though I should have. I was very disappointed because I grew up in Conshy and still live here and thought this would be my new spot for happy hour with my friends, but that vibe made me not want to come back. I will try again a month or two down the line, but that first impression was really not good at all. The drinks were very good though and decently priced I will say. I had the Mad Hatter's Tea and it was very good. Bathrooms and booths and the whole place was also beautiful, it's a shame our experience was not good and we felt very unwelcomed. I will also say I got a text when my friend left her card that she paid with on the table and they let me know immediately, which I thought was...
Read moreIf you're going for table service I would wait until they get that figured out. The service was awful! My girlfriend and I went opening night. The place looks great, seats are comfortable, really nice atmosphere! We were seated quickly and ordered drinks. Her drink came not long after we ordered, mine came about ten minutes later, no exaggeration. Seeing the delay we decided to order food knowing it is opening night and they may be a little flustered. We ordered the Caprese skewers and the roasted peach and ricotta flatbread. 35-40 minutes later a gentleman walked over and asked "have you received your food yet?" We replied no and he apologized and said there was a mix up with your order. The Caprese skewers came out ten or so minutes later and were placed in the middle of the table. The server walked away so quickly we weren't able to ask for utensils napkins or small plates. After waiting a bit I went to the host station and asked for utensils and small plates. I was handed utensils wrapped in a napkin, a little later they came back and gave us small saucers for plates. We ordered a second round of drinks and waited. I accidentally knocked my water over and asked one of the staff for a napkin or something so I could clean it up. We waited, at this point my girlfriend and I could do nothing but laugh at the fact that the flatbread still had not been delivered and my water was dripping onto the floor and no one had come back. We were eventually given some bar towels to wipe up the water and I asked if they could please check on our flatbread, which finally came out after asking... They do not seem to have organization among the staff. Server / food runner etc. Our server was also clearing tables among other things. We were there long enough to see the bar crowd die down and several staff members congregate by the door while our server continued to clear the areas around us. The food was good, hard to go wrong with Caprese skewers. The flatbread was tasty, a nice combination of ingredients and done just right.
Thank you for your reply. I am local so we will give it another...
Read moreI can’t say enough good things about The Rabbit Hole in Conshohocken. What was once a dive bar has been completely and beautifully reimagined into an upscale, Alice in Wonderland themed space, and somehow, they pulled it off without a hint of cheesiness. The decor is whimsical yet elegant, with high-end finishes and immersive details that make you feel like you’ve stepped into a magical world. Even the bathrooms are stunning!
From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed. The hostess greeted me warmly, and our server went above and beyond to make sure my friend and I had a fantastic evening. Even the general manager came over, introduced herself, and personally checked in to see if there was anything she could do to make our night even better, a gesture you don’t often see and one that really stood out.
The atmosphere struck the perfect balance: intimate and cozy, but still lively enough to chat with other friendly patrons if you're feeling social. I ordered the Rabbit Hole Pinot Noir, which was delicious and paired perfectly with our beautifully presented charcuterie board. My friend ordered one of the house cocktails, which arrived with a Rabbit Hole engraved ice cube which was such a thoughtful and stylish detail.
The music was at just the right volume, adding to the vibe without overpowering conversation. It’s clear that every aspect of this place, from the drinks to the décor to the service, has been thoughtfully curated.
Whether you’re looking for a unique date night spot or a place to catch up with a friend, The Rabbit Hole is a total gem. I’m still in awe of how they transformed the space. It is a true testament to creativity and attention to detail. I’ll...
