Racist!! The chef was amazing, friendly and fun we personally tipped him $20, the food was good but the service sucked, never recieved refills even after requesting one. We had a party of 3 and the gratuity ($15) was automatically added to the bill which is unusual for a small party but actually less than what we were going to tip, across from us at the same hibachi table was a friendly party of 4 all on one bill whose gratuity was not automatically added to their bill 🤔 when questioned as to why he had the nerve to try explaining the purpose of a tip 😱 after making him aware that I am fully aware of the tipping process & that we're actually great tippers they proceeded with we always add the gratuity for a party of 3 so my daughter ask well what about for a party of 4 and they said yes for a party of 4 as well, when I made them aware that this didn't happen to the party (non Aferican American) across from us all 3 of them became dumbfounded, looking back & forth at one another puzzled that we were aware of their ignorance. I asked so you sterotype your customers?, still speechless...I break the silence and make them realize that this conversation is not about the $15 gratuity but about them being stereotypical. Sadly, I'm aware that racism still exist but to personally experience it is a true wow factor. My family & I will NEVER patronize Asuka ever again. If I could rate them ZERO ⭐️'s I...
Read moreWorse service ever! I along with 7 others went for dinner the other week. We sat at hibachi the waitress was so rude In taking our orders, she was more worried about collecting the menus. Then we waited another 30 mintues before the chef came out to cook. Well he comes out to the hibachi which was never turned on, so there was another 15-20 mintues. Mind you its not even busy at this time. Then in the mean time my sister's boyfriend had a full glass of Pepsi spilled all over him by the other guy waiting on us, Ok fine accidents happen that wasn't the problem. It was the way it was handled, he wasn't apologized about it at all. They didn't offer him a towel or even a napkin to try to dry it off of him. Then it took several times of asking before they even brought my sister a drink. The hibachi was boring, but atleast the food was good. But we had to keep asking for chopsticks and napkins which we never got. In hindsight we should of just left after the pop spilling and how rude they were after it, it was like they completely avoid us. When we didn't even get upet about it like I said accidents happen. And we spent really good money too. We definitely will not be back there, they obviously don't...
Read moreFull disclosure, I'm grading Asuka on a curve. While everything was fine, it wasn't anything to write home about.
First off, the food was tasty. However, everything pretty much tasted the same. I'm guessing this is because everything was cooked on the same grill (and the same way.)
The service was ok. However, for as many servers as they had on shift, they didn't seem very attentive. You had to call one of to get anything. Again, not awful, just not great.
Also, the server who took our order, forgot to order our sushi with the sushi chefs. I understand that sometimes mistakes are made. My issue with this is she never admitted it, or apologized. If you're wondering how I knew, I watched her enter the order into the computer after I mentioned that we hadn't received it. Still, not the worst.
However, I'm not sure if that's what kind of restaurant this is. I think it is an entertainment place. On that note, the Teppanyaki chef was terrific. He was skilled, fun, and engaging, especially with our youngest child. He is the reason I would still highly recommend Asuka. Maybe not every week. But certainly once or...
