OK, I think one of the main reasons why I only gave two stars is because I was expecting this location to be just as themed towards Harry Potter as the other location. So I was really disappointed. But I decided to give them a chance. I went here around 10 AM, so I didn’t expect them to be really busy, but they were, so I understand why my order took a while. But it took a while for someone to initially take my order, and when I had questions, they couldn’t really answer them, or didn’t answer them like he wasn’t really listening to what I was asking….Anyway, I ended up ordering a lavender mocha which was amazing! I was torn between a regular lavender and a lavender mocha. I wasn’t sure which one would be better. I have to go back to try just a regular lavender to compare since everyone raves about the lavender coffee! This drink was the best part of my whole experience. I also ordered the classic avocado, which is basically avocado toast with egg on top. When I tried it the bread was a little strange to me but the avocado and egg part was amazing! I did think it was a little overpriced for what I got. The place was kind of cute. People came in like at Starbucks to work on their computers. The only thing I saw Harry Potter wise was the tip jar in the front with Dobi the elf, and maybe some owl coffee and souvenirs, but that’s about it. Other than that I think they should work on the customer service in the...
Read moreStandard looking small Cafe that also locally roasts their own beans, which is why I decided to give them a try. I bought a bag of their espresso blend which ended up producing an acceptable shot but lacking depth of flavor - certainly not worth the $14 for less than a lb. My biggest issue, however, was waiting 15+ minutes for a V60 pour-over when they weren't even busy. I was almost certain they forget to even make my coffee since, as I watched, most of the two "baristas'" time was spent chatting or on busy work rather than actually making coffee. When they finally decided/remembered to make my beverage, the one clearly had no idea how to make a pour-over as they had to call the other over who demonstrated only the ability to fake it. I watched in horror as they failed to pre-wet the filter and even worse intermittently stopped the pour to stir up the grounds over and over, all the while unprofessionally joking about the process. Needless to say the resulting coffee was both bitter and sour. The fact that pour-overs are a large part of their menu makes this even more unacceptable. I see no reason to go here again unless one of the other10 nearby coffee shops simultaneously have lines out...
Read moreI so very much wanted to love this place, but unfortunately that wasn't the case. It is beautifully decorated and the theme is carried out through the entire experience. Unfortunately the staff and food leaves much to be desired. I ordered a large fancy coffee, a large tea, a chocolate croissant and a butter croissant. My coffee was a bit lackluster and bland. When I bit into my chocolate croissant it was completely black and burned on the bottom. We went in to tell them about this the employee looked on the bottom of the other chocolate croissant that was on display saw that it was more burnt than the one I had was... AND PUT IT BACK ON DISPLAY FOR SOMEONE ELSE TO BUY!! I tried writing the company about what happened with no response. If you are charging high and prices I expect high-end food and drink. she gave me a butter croissant as a replacement which is cheaper but she didn't address that at all and I just wanted to get out of there. The butter croissant tasted like a store-bought croissant not a bakery croissant. Unfortunately I won't be going back, like I said I really wanted to love this place and it's right across the street from me, but the employees made...
