This used to be one of our favorite ice cream places.... until tonight. We go in at 9:50pm. They close at 10pm. I asked if they are still serving and they reply yes. We get ready to place our order and one of the 2 girls working then says, but scoops of ice cream only. Well if you know anything about creamberry you know that means that they are closed. They were building a cotton candy ice cream burrito for another customer when we walked in. So we replied no thanks and left. They laughed at us while we were sitting in the car looking for another place to go. We used to go here often and we always place large orders and we tip well. I've done my time in the fastfood trenches. Pizza joint and a Fastfood burgers and hotdogs with ice cream joint. So I'm not a ken/karen. If you're going to close at 9:30pm then close at 9:30pm. Don't pretend you're closing at 10pm. I'm sure the 2 employees get paid till 10pm and then some for closing. The poor owner lost out on some overhead revenue, so the employees don't care. But there's always a silver lining ... we googled ice cream and there's this ice cream place named Salt & Straw at the Uncommons on the corner of S. Durango at 215. Open till 11pm. Off we go. The place was very crowded. Like 25 to 30 people in front of us. We get in line and it's moving fast. Unlike creamberry where there is one maybe two people working at any given time. Salt & Straw had at least 6 people working. Literally in less than 10 minutes we are sampling their tasty ice cream of which there are many different flavors and wonderfully created unique flavors. We choose four. One each for us and two to go for those at home. Very reasonably priced. The ice cream is so good. Definitely should try Salt & Carmel people. For us it's now our go to. It's closer than creamberry and really good. So to save 3 minutes travel and driving past Cold Stone Creamery we will now be buying our ice cream from Salt & Sraw. So I guess I should thank the two employees at Creamberry...
Read morePlanned a nice date night with my wife and newborn, drove 50 minutes to this location where the staff informed me it would take approximately 30 minutes for a cotton candy burrito, which was fine, we were both very excited to try this. Approximately 45 minutes later, the shop is funny of young kids from a softball game and CeeLo Green's song, F*%k You starts playing were a few parents begin getting concerned, I honestly don't mind the music but it wasn't appropriate for the setting, so my wife informs the staff as a courtesy due to a another person giving the staff a hard time about wait times. Approximately 30 minutes later, my number was #23, when it was called another patron closer to the counter jumps up and grabs my order where he hands it to his children, I'm at the counter inquiring about my order when he comes back up asking them to cut the burrito, I ask him what his number was and he responds #33. The staff begin asking him if he needs any help while I'm just standing there wondering when will I be address, so I took things in my own hands and told the guy to back off and wait while I talk to the staff. Due to it being flu season I did not want to eat my order which his kids had there hands all over so I requested a refund.
To the owner; ensure your staff are checking ticket numbers as your volume of customers are high along with figuring out a radio station which speaks to your audience of customers. I've never written a review before but the experience was opposite of exceptional. I planned for this visit and left with nothing, it's ashame because I would still love to try the food but I can't risk taking the time and the drive for another...
Read moreAfter a couple of visits over the last couple of years, it's time to give some props to Creamberry's consistency of delivering yummy desserts..
Ambiance & Service: Dessert influenced super kawaii decor adorns this small shop. The Ice Cream displayed with jars of candy on top puts you right in the mood to get your sweet tooth on. Black Boards behind the counter displays all your dessert options with lots of information. Almost too much considering how small the writing on board is. The seating is minimal which makes things challenging when they're busy, which is frequent. My first cotton candy burrito was a 45 minute wait during a Sunday afternoon, but I was informed of that at the register. The staff is super friendly but when it's crowded it's going to be a wait.
Creamberry Desserts: The ice cream is always flavorful and creamy so any dessert with it is a safe bet in my book. The halo halo here is tasty and the combination of all the ingredients is on point. The cotton candy burrito is my favorite dessert in taking 2 steps towards diabeetus. Over the top but still flavorful af. I usually split this with someone because even my sweet tooth isn't enough to handle it. I've sampled too many desserts from friends all have been lovely and super social media friendly.
Creamberry definitely delivers with delicious desserts and they're popular for a reason. I usually don't visit during prime times because of my allergy to lines. If they were able to figure out how to keep the waits in check during their busy times that would be awesome. This is still one of my favorite dessert joints in the Vegas...
