This Smith/ Kroger store has gone so far downhill since the pandemic. I don't know which store manager thought it was a good idea to close the entrance door past 7pm... There's absolutely no path into the store ... The only route is to parkor through the self check out registers with your shopping cart just to get into the store; which is already insanely disorganized because, of course, there are two cashiers for the entire store... And one of them is always missing. So half the people you're trying to get through are just standing there, upset because they accidently touched the bagging area of the self check out machine sending the register into an unending cycle of "please put your item in the bagging area" and "help is on the way".
Once you're inside the store be ready to dodge yet another onslaught of carts filled with goods surrounding the already cramped "entrance" to the store; only this time placed by the store staff to either clearance out merchandise or return it to shelves. Not to mention once you get down an aisle you're lucky if it's not filled wall to wall with pallets of new goods to restock the shelves because obviously Kroger is too cheap to pay stockers a deserved night time wage.
Then there's the quality and prices... Cereal is double, produce is mushy and barely lasts a day. If I wanted to shop for low quality products, arranged as a war zone, with limited, seemingly clueless staff I would shop at Walmart.... At least the prices are better there.
I'm don't know why corporations think it's a good idea to punish ALL their shoppers just to what? Prevent people from stealing goods through the entrance? I guess neither will be much of a problem for very long... Welcome...
Read moreFloor management working the self check out registers need help. They cannot multitask especially wen 3 or more machines are pinging for staff assistance. Out of 20 machines, 8 need assistance, at least 1 of the need a SKU code, and the customers are looking at eat other as if, "what the #@#% is going on"? Does anyone else know how to work this position? This is Sunday, folks are out of church. Not to mention, Super Bowl today. The store is crowded, people running into one another. Hardly any room to maneuver yur cart. UPON walking out of the doorway I see the code book laying on top of the cash register. Sooo, you gonna ask me to walk all the way to the back of the store to get a SKU, wen it's right within finger tip, eyeball, reach of you. Just so happen, another clerk came and looked in this same book and cued me put. Eventho my nefew had to go chase down the previous clerk who had my merchandise in her hand, walking around with it, and assumed I didn't won't it anymore, jux because we're standing at our register with our arm folded watchn her sasshay...
Read moreI only visited Smiths grocery store. I've been to other Smiths stores but this one was the Best 1 ever! Their product selection is fantastic. Bought their brand of peanut butter which was on sale..49 cents off! But I didn't notice i had to use a DIGITAL COUPON. And 2 boxes of storage bags $1 off each marked down but self checkout range up at reg price. 2 ladies helped me - refunded me my $3. Nice & patient! Then i accidentally left a backpack in parking lot - realized it 1 hr later. Luckily someone nice returned it to the store....
