In response to the owner’s response that “typically” symptoms don’t appear until 4days: the ringworm look of white scaley skin did not appear until over 4days later, but the hair wasn’t growing back normally before that, as you can see in the pictures. If you have questions, I suggest you speak to a dermatologist. I have spoken to 2 who have confirmed that the most probable cause was the haircut. Again, I’m here writing this review because you are more concerned with avoiding blame than being extra cautious when in all likelihood the ringworm came from your shop. This is concerning for all customers. Please just do the right thing and thoroughly clean your equipment.
I don’t usually like to leave bad reviews, particularly about common issues in an industry, but after attempting to deal with the issue privately with the owner I feel it’s important to warn the public. I took my child here for a haircut. Everyone was very nice and Miguel gave my kid a great haircut. Unfortunately, the next day I could tell something wasn’t right with the cut. See pictures attached. A large patch of hair wasn’t growing back properly and my kid complained that the spot burned. Well, it turns out my kid got ringworm, likely from the buzzer that was not thoroughly cleaned. I tried contacting the barber to tell him what happened. I told him it’s not a big deal, things happen, I just wanted him to clean more thoroughly for future clients. I anticipated he would be apologetic, maybe thank me for letting him know and tell me he’d be sure to be more thorough from now on. I was wrong. Instead, his response was “I’ll look through my equipment…ringworm can also occur from dirty pillows or washcloths at home, be sure to check those as well.” Putting aside the fact that he was accusing me of having a dirty home and causing the fungus on my child’s head that appeared the day after his haircut (I could have ignored that ignorant comment - how could he know that I do laundry every other day?), I am extremely concerned that this man thinks he can “check his equipment” or I can “check” my linens. You can’t see ringworm spores with the naked eye. “Checking” equipment is useless and silly and not going to prevent this issue from happening again. Because this barber thinks that his equipment is clean or safe as long as it doesn’t look dirty is a massive problem! Therefore, I am writing this review to hopefully save someone else’s head from the same fungal fate my kid experienced. I truly hope this barber learns from this experience and figures out how to properly clean...
Read moreNot thrilled with my experience. Made a reservation on the website for Adrien for 11am the night prior. Showed up at 10:59am, and told they were a little behind. 15 minutes later at 11:15am, I am told that Yun is ready for me (did not book her). After the longest haircut of my life, I still was not lined up with a straight razor as I had booked online, and requested twice during the service. The haircut was okay, quite long and fidgety, but still decent work. Go to pay, and they tried to charge me the $20 for the straight razor line up(which I did not get, Yun after a 55 minute haircut lined me up with an electric razor). After bringing this to their attention, I was charged $10 instead of $20, "because some face work was done."
In short, late by 15 minutes for appointment, didn't honor who the appointment was with (Adrien has all the good reviews on here), tried to charge me for a service I didn't receive, then determined a two minute line up with an electric razor was worth $10 in addition to the haircut. I won't be returning, and caution anyone looking for a true barber experience to...
Read moreThis is a very clean and very well ran Barbershop. They always do their best to accommodate everyone who walks through the door.
All of the barbers are top quality. $35 price is very fair and absolutely worth it. I’ve had my haircut here several times and loved the experience. The energy, the vibe, and the music are all part of the great experience. The barbers are very invested in helping and making you look your best.
Walkins and appointments are welcome. lots of different styles. Family, friendly, and lots of great conversation.
I love that they carry the Reuzel product line. One of my favorites and not many barber shops have it available.
The owner, Miguel has the right attitude, charisma and personality. He has created a Great Barbershop.
