Alejandra P gave us a horrible experience. We asked once or twice for some more time to decide what to eat and she got annoyed the last time and said we should order so the food wouldn’t take longer to come out. When I was ready to order she mocked at me when I ask for a plate and stated it as only one choice of protein to which she corrected me in a taunting way. When I asked for a soda she looked at me paused as if she trying to breathe and then said okay sure no problem. She was being super passive aggressive and not apologetic when we told her that we wanted the meat to be cooked rare and it was brought out as medium well and we brought up up to her and grabbed the plate didn’t say anything and took it. When it was time to pay she went ahead and included the tip. Now you wonder why I didn’t check the bill? I did but I didn’t notice she manually put the tip and I know that’s not ethical given I have been here before and I was given the option. Not to mention it was a party of 3 and no where does it state a tip will be included onto the bill. Bad service, too bad because I like the food. Never...
Read moreAttention! This is by far my FAVORITE ceviche restaurant in Orlando. When I tell you nothing beats the food here… I am not exaggerating. Having ceviche in south Florida and moving to Orlando, I always found myself having trouble finding good ceviche. But I can now say am so glad to have found this gem.
By surprise, this place not only does it make fantastic Peruvian food but it also has Puerto Rican dishes. Of course I had to taste it myself and so I ordered the mofongo with shrimp al ajillo and it was the most moist, rich mofongo I’ve had in a while. So delicious!
We also ordered the seafood parillada marina, the ceviche with grilled octopus on top. We devoured that in seconds which is why I forgot to take a picture. We also had pescado a lo macho. The antichuchos were outstanding. They definitely are doing something right and the food is authenticity. So if you’re craving Peruvian or Puerto Rican food, this is the place to come.
Also, service was 20/10. Cocktails were delicious and I honestly cannot...
Read moreFirst let me say that I love Latin food and especially fried rice, and in the last 6 month I spent over a week in Peru and about 2 weeks in Costa Rica and enjoyed every bit of their food.
But the seafood chaufa at this restaurant was pretty bad and I could barely eat over half of it. I can't tell if it was some reused leftover oil or just too much fat overall, but I had a terrible heartburn for hours. The octopus bits were hard to chew and kind of like rubber.
The service was alright. Interestingly enough Alejandra brought us a dinner menu and never said anything about their lunch options. We only overheard about it from a table with Spanish speaking folks.
My wife was happy with her steak dish, so who knows.
And I don't get the Morton's inspired prices, it just doesn't add up given the location, the atmosphere and...
