Since covid-19, if you've been to a Chick-fil-A recently or driven past one, you'll see how busy they are busting out orders. I am honestly impressed with their new system, to be able to stay open during these times, and serve us takeout with the least amount of human contact!
My son and I went through drive-thru again knowing we'd be in line for awhile but being well worth the wait! We couldn't help but notice how well their system was running because of the Manager and co-workers all doing it together. The Manager was even walking around the parking lot to make sure everyone was okayyyy! They had Grubhub and Ubereats separate from the drive-thru line, and an employee walked the food out inside a bin to lessen the human contact rule, genius I say!
The line always looks like it'll take forever but honestly it moves by really quick... their employees stand underneath tents, wear masks, and always remain pleasant. It can get really hot underneath the tent for them, yeah they're out of the blaring sun but they're in-between vehicles that are constantly running... I give these people a lot of credit for continuing to serve the masses!
We've never heard any complaining from workers, during the times we were in the line, and they have no restrictions on age when hiring. An older gentleman was carrying out food to the grubhub & ubereats stationed across the parking lot, it was amazing to see... you could tell he loved what he was doing!
We always go to the one on Rte4, Newark, Delaware... Keep up the great work...
Read moreI’ve had a contentious relationship with this Chick-fil-A location over the years, but after two disappointing breakfast experiences in just the past couple of weeks, I felt compelled to leave a review.
Today was the final straw. My food was burnt and completely inedible; I’ll be posting pictures! On top of this, the last time I ordered breakfast (on the first morning after the location reopened following “renovations”), everything arrived cold. The hash browns were soggy, and the bread on the chicken minis was hard as a rock. If I didn’t know better, I would’ve thought it was food prepped before they even closed.
To make matters worse, they’ve removed curbside pickup and replaced it with a nonsensical “mobile thru” lane. It’s completely useless as you still end up waiting in a line identical to that of the drive-thru. If I wanted to wait in a line, I’d just go through the regular drive-thru in the first place. I’ve tried this lane twice (once during lunch), but today I decided it didn’t make sense to use it & instead took the regular drive. I think it was actually faster than my mobile lane experiences. Overall, after today’s breakfast debacle, I’m officially done with this location in the mornings.
It’s really unfortunate because I work nearby, and convenience used to be the biggest appeal. But at this point, the quality and experience just...
Read moreI mean the service isn't terrible but I expect better. I could say I dislike certain things about the franchise itself but that's not doing any good posted here. At this location, they're always forgetting something such as the toppings to my salad, the sauce I ask for, napkins and/or utensils. Also, today was the first time I didn't hear an employee say "my pleasure" when I said "thank you." More importantly, they spoke in a condescending tone when I ordered a mint watermelon lemonade for the first time and asked for a large. When it wasn't the same size cup I got as it is for the sweet tea, and I said, "sorry, I ordered a large," the rep got nasty with me and replied "that IS a large." For one, ha, no, it is not even close to a large. Two, you could have elaborated and instead said, "im sorry, with the lemonade specifically that is considered a large, but if you would like, I can fill up a regular sized large cup for you if that's not what you expected when you ordered." On top of that, there was ONE tiny sad excuse for a strip of bacon on my smokehouse bbq sandwich and literally a pea-sized drop of bbq sauce on the bun. Step it up, Chick-fil-A, your food is super duper expensive so I better be getting super duper service like you promise! Very disappointed. Will probably only go for the sweet tea and fries...
