El Balcon Bar Taqueria — Restaurant in Contiguous United States

This place replaced El Gallo and let me tell you it is no where near as good as the place before. The prices are high and different than what you see online. Online said tacos were $2.05 but the menu in the restaurant said $3.50. We ordered the Birria and was told it didn’t come with rice and beans so we ordered one side of them. Then the plates came out with rice and beans. One girl said she was mistaken and it does come with it. Then the another came out and said it didn’t and wanted to charge me. They also advised this with homemade tortillas but we were told they didn’t have any. The worst part was the food! It was bland and just tasted like a roast with water poured over it. I have 25 minutes seat in the bar whit my wife and no one come to me and ask me if I need something to drink or eat and the time still running o ready 30 minutes is ridiculous first and last time I come to this restaurant,and bar,one more thing ""be careful when the owner and bartender offer a free drinks to the American girls (who do not speak Spanish)when this two guys starts talking in Spanish the are very us respectful because the girls not understand the Spanish words, and when the bartender translate to English say something very different it is the only mexican restaurant that i have seen that they are disrespectful whit the American girls because they do not...

Love the updates the new owners made. This is a great neighborhood Mexican restaurant that is the perfect place to watch all your favorite teams play. They have tv’s in every room playing two different games to satisfy everyone. Service was excellent. Decor is cute. Bar is well stocked and new walk up and order is fast. Our food was delicious and made quickly. Gave it 4/5 because homemade chips and rice need a recipe rework. Still yummy just need a recipe redo.
