Most of the food was alright once we got it but the service was horrible. This Floyd’s probably shouldn’t have opened quite yet as their communication skills needs a great amount of improvement. Went there with my family for the first time today and I can say that at least one of us for sure won’t be going back there.
Our main waitress who originally took down our order, left, switched our table over to another waitress, and told us that she’d put our whole order in.
We get our drinks and I get my appetizer, and we continue to wait on our food. About 10-15 mins. later a server comes by and hands out only half of my moms order and my grand dads order, they forgot his side but he eventually got it. A few minutes after that our new waitress comes back by and asks us if we have all of our food. Are you kidding me 😑 My mom was still missing her oysters, my grand mother didn’t even HAVE her oysters nor the salad she ordered and I was still missing my seafood pasta. So she goes back into the kitchen to figure out what’s wrong and after like another 10 mins. comes back out and asks us to tell her all the food we didn’t get so she can write it down because apparently when our original waitress left, she didn’t put in our whole order like she said she did. At this point my grand mother decided she didn’t want her food anymore, yet my mom still wanted hers and I still wanted my pasta. So she goes back into the kitchen and a little while later the rest of our order is finally made, well sort of. I got mine right, but they forgot the bread that was supposed to come with my meal. My mother got her oysters but it was the wrong kind because they made two orders of the oysters my grand mother wanted, when she’d told them multiple times that she hadn’t wanted them anymore but they made it anyways and still forgot her salad.
As you can see, clearly the communication between waiters and waitresses and the kitchen needs improvement big time. It was all very confusing and not the best first impression nor experience for a restaurant.
Hopefully next time I go, if I do, it...
Read moreA bit pricey, the waitress was very attentive but wow, even my fiancee said she could've been a whole lot more friendly. We ended up paying a hefty $115 bill for a simple meal for 2, the mixed drinks were supposed to be happy hour price but we found out only one of the drinks was included in the happy hour, but we had 4 in all. So the small drinks were $10 a piece but during happy hour they're supposed to be $6 a piece. So for the 4 drinks alone, we paid $36. Our meals were $27 & $24 & we thought the side came with his but we found we were charged a separate price for his side that was supposed to automatically come with the meal. But for the most part the food was good except for the fries. We weren't expecting to be served fries that seemed like they had been soaked in grease, they were literally dripping. He just ate everything else and left them alone rather than complain about it though. We paid a separate price for a Dr Pepper he had with his meal that tasted strange to him so he didn't drink it or eat his fries which was half of his meal. But rather than make a fuss about anything we asked for the bill, discovered the extra added costs, were in disbelief of the cost, paid the bill and left. This was our first visit and considering everything, probably our last because of everything and we felt uncomfortable the whole time, like we were outsiders and didn't belong. It was just a very off experience for both of us. The staff are friendly to a certain circle of a type of people, but we didn't fit in that circle of people... GET ME ? ... THAT KINDA TREATMENT AIN'T ACCEPTABLE. THEY'RE SNOBBY, JUDGEMENTAL AND ACT LIKE THEY'RE BETTER THAN THE PEOPLE THEY'RE SERVING OR THAT WALK INTO THE ESTABLISHMENT. THAT'S A BIG NO-NO. SO TO AVOID US GOING THROUGH ALL THAT AGAIN, WE WON'T COME BACK. Y'ALL WOULD DO WELL TO TEACH YOUR EMPLOYEES NOT TO ACT LIKE THEY'RE IN A HIGH SCHOOL CLIQUE WHEN THEY'RE IN THE WORK PLACE CAUSE IT WILL EVENTUALLY HAVE AN EXTREMELY BAD OUTCOME...

Food can be very inconsistent which is frustrating. Good one time and a waste of money the next.
Service can be inconsistent as well - attentive and fast or very slow and you get ignored.
Restaurant is always clean and has a nice cozy feel. Restrooms are always clean too.
The roast beef po’boy was a good change up, very delicious. This day the gumbo was good.
Did not like the patty melt, the bread was so greasy and soggy. The burger patty not seasoned, they could put dawg seasoning on it and it would have flavor at least, it was seared good though but a bit tough.
Did not like the hamburger steak lunch. The meat is the same bland burger patty they use in the burgers topped with greasy sautéed onions mushrooms and bland gravy. The meat was so hard and had gristly like bits in it and an odd taste. The mashed potatoes were bland and served cold.
The bowl of gumbo has gotten so small and sometimes it barely has any chicken and sausage in it and they charge me extra for chicken to add to the bowl of broth they serve me to make it how it should’ve been, other times it has plenty. Never know what you’re going to get and if it’s going to be good or bland from visit to visit.
The fried zucchini and onion rings are delicious when fried crispy, not left soggy, consistency issues.
Bar drinks are so light on liquor, not a good purchase here. Tried many, all disappointing.
They’ve gone up on prices again. We tried to do happy hour but the food wasn’t that good and they were playing old man music, it wasn’t very fun. The Floyd Hurricane is not good, just juice, no liquor.
I would never recommend their meeting room. $200 room fee before even purchasing food. $45 steak with 2 tiny shrimp, photo marked. Not...
