The good: broth, good broth, and noodles were well done, not too overcooked. The black Kikurage were thick and found part of the root of the fungus included , which I usually discard after cutting the top off. Only finish the broth but I left ovef half the bowl of noodles/onion/bamboo/Kikurage combination behind (see pics). Notice the broth color changed because I asked for chili oils. Egg was poached correctly however. The Chasu was okay but not typical braised pork that melt in your mouth and give the noodles extra notch of fatty good flavor when eat together. I glad I didn't ask for extra Chasu like I normally go to ramen place, so that tell you smth. The Takoyaki and Okonomiyaki (not crunchy outside enough) taste exactly the same and they shouldn't be. Both were topped with an excessive amount of Katsuobushi. Presentation okay, it doesn't make you look and say "whoaaa that looks so good". First server Louie is nice, & attentive, it's 4pm in afternoon, it's not that busy, we closed the ticket on him cuz he had to go home but 2nd server took over was interrupting our deep conversation. We already paid, just leave us alone. Wait til we done to clear the table or if we both on our phone. I get it that's its not wing stop, but one tiny napkin is just kinda pet peeves of mine at restaurant, either give me cloth and wash or buy cheaper napkins to give me more. Ambient okay, not too loud but this is St John, it felt a bit of a gimmick. The price is above average. I would do the combo $25 but that still stretches it. I will give it another try. Bottom line: I didn't finish my entire bowl and didn't finish the Okonomiyaki. It's rare that I don't finish at a Ramen place and that speaks smth because good ramen should leave empty bowl and ...

Fine but I expected better. I was sat at the bar where I had to wait for extremely long periods to be waited on to the point where my waiter had to apologize at least 3 times. That being said, the food was average compared to other of the upscale ramen that I experience in this price range around Jacksonville.

I got the Kinya Ramen combo with the pork buns. The buns were, I would say below others that I have experienced in the area. The back of both just split upon picking them up and the meat fell out. In general it was 'fine' but fell short of a few of the other competitors in the area in terms of bun taste and feel as well as pork taste and impact. The sauces tried to lift the experience but didn't manage.

The ramen itself. The noodles were notable shorter and I would say not cooked as well. The amount of noodles also seemed on the lighter side. The broth was noticeably light on the black garlic and I would say definitely average and not impressionable. That being said, the pork chashu was quite good. I think maybe it had some kind of torch taken to it to give it some kind of extra zing and I enjoyed it quite a bit. The egg was very flabby and what is usually my favorite part of the ramen just fell well short and hardly took in any flavor.

Finally, I got taiyaki (red bean paste) that came with matcha ice cream. I don't have any comparative experience as this was my first taiyaki so it's hard compare but I enjoyed the experience and it tasted nice & fresh. I'd...

We came to hunt some Ramen and this place is excellent. We had the Pork Buns as appetizers and it was the best of the meal. I would come back only for them. We had the Kinya and the Beef Ramen. The broth was so satisfying 😌, hot and full of flavor, we both liked the chicken broth better 😋. The beef had a sweet flavor that I was not expecting and honestly I didn't liked it at first but when you mix it with the broth and noodles it washes the sweet away and gets better. The pork in the Kinya was great, my son liked the gold flakes and the sprouts in the Kinya. And the dessert Taiyaki was great too. My son liked the red beans ice-cream and I liked the fried sweet bread stuffed with sweet red beans paste. I will come back to try more things from the menu. And the service from Katherine was fenomenal.

I got the spicy chicken ramen and the broth was delicious and rich with umami flavor. The shrimp tempura appetizer was great too. Our server was very attentive. Good spot for ramen and good service. Came out pretty quickly. I’ll come back to try some of their other offerings.

When is comes on to ramen,Broth is everything! Creamy just not as rich with flavors and texture, only two types of noodles which was ok I guess, no thick noodles! The chicken in the ramen taste like lunch meat chicken, pork was tender, fry rice was delicious as the Gyoza.
