McLaren's Irish Pub — Restaurant in Wilmington

The Maclaren Wilmington Irish Pub is a decent bar with a friendly bartender, but with some notable issues. The bartender was knowledgeable and provided good service, but the lack of food options is a drawback. The pub relies on guests bringing in their own food or ordering delivery, which can be a bit of an inconvenience.

Unfortunately, the pub also has an issue with some regulars who can be disruptive and act inappropriately towards new guests. Despite this, the management does not seem to be aware of the situation or take any action to stop it, which can make for an uncomfortable experience for new patrons.

Overall, I would give the Maclaren Wilmington Irish Pub a 3-star rating. While the bartender is good, the lack of food options and the disruptive behavior of some regulars detract from the overall experience. This is a bar with all in mind. There doesn't seem to be drama or those who cannot handle their alcohol. During busy nights, team Bobby and Natalie kick a$$. All are served and no one goes ignored. The bar itself is a smaller one but just enough to fill with typical bar scene. Four pool tables, darts and music player, as well as, a few more games. One of my favorite things is Karaoke on Thursdays I believe. Prices are normal as a normal bar would be. As said, the crowd is very diverse and neighborly. This place is so odd. I order an old fashion from a female bartender. It seems to be taking awhile and I saw her helping others and not making my drink. Then this guy comes over and says hey I heard you want an old fashioned? I said yes what’s going on do you have that? He says oh yeah I have one for you and I’ll be the one doing it and I’ll give you the best one you ever had you just need to come with me to my truck. So bizarre and creepy, never experienced...
