My initial experience with this place was very positive. Bartenders were friendly, good beer selection and their paninis are really good. I had been at least a half dozen times just in the last month or so and introduced multiple people, until my latest experience with one of the "Owners Friends" and why I'm giving this place a POOR review and don't think I will ever be back and tell everyone I brought to do the same.
I brought my Cousin from out of town, 2 friends and my Girlfriend, we were all sitting separately at the bar due to how busy this place can be. The "Owners Friend" a heavy set, short blond haired, middle age woman, who was Extremely intoxicated had gotten up and after 20 minutes hadn't returned, the seat appeared it was now vacant by my GF, a purse was placed on the bar top but NOT directly in front of the seat or any indication that the seat was reserved. I made the decision to sit down when this Belligerent individual came up, telling me to get up, that the seat is reserved. I was respectful, quick to apologize adding that the seat had NO sign or being reserved and went back to my original seat. Well my Girlfriend, still sitting down apologized again after I left and this Woman was quoted "You Dumb B*TCH, if you would have asked the bartender, they would have told you it was my seat" The bartender had overheard it all and apologized to us multiple times about her and that she was the "Owners Friend"
Well OWNER, if this it the type of person you call a friend, who represents your business while you are away, It represents YOU personally! You should also think about how this one incident could have escalated into something bigger...
Read moreMy wife and I love coming here for a beer after a long day at work. For starters, their tap list is always full of interesting and solid craft beer. I've tried many and have been satisfied with each one. The environment is great, and Rainier Growlers has an aura of a bar environment that is seldom found these days. It definitely fosters social interaction and we always strike up a conversation with the many other friendly patrons. The bartenders service is always great, and they go out of their way to ask our names and strike up a conversation. Rainier Growlers is heaven for beer lovers! After visiting many bars and breweries Rainier Growlers stands out as one of those places that brings you back again and again. Recommend to anyone looking for a cold one and great experience in Puyallup. Thank you and we will...
Read moreSo I like root beer. I have had it all over the country and from so many makers. When I moved to the PNW, I started hearing a buzz about a particular brand...Snoqualmie Falls Brewing Company. A few restaurants have it on tap apparently. One for sure place to find it is at Rainier Growlers. After stuffing ourselves at a Chinese restaurant in the same shopping centre, we figured that root beer would be a fine thing to have for afters. This is easily the best root beer that I have ever had and my mates agree. Perfection in a glass or a can.
Rainier Growlers is a fun place with a great vibe. Seems popular with the locals. Awesome selection of beers, ciders, and of course this root beer. Decently priced and a nice place to unwind after a long...
