This was probably the worst pho I’ve ever eaten. Not only was the broth incredibly murky and flavorless, comparable to bone water. We ordered for takeout, and I don’t know a lot about health codes, but we received raw meat next to our noodles in a takeout container. Places will normally cook meat in the broth, I get that. But not for takeout. How can you expect anyone to have any understanding of how to make pho, let alone at home. The broth was not hot enough by the time we got home, which was only 10 minutes away, to properly cook the meat. The only picture I got was my bowl in the microwave as I contemplated my decision on how to save my dinner for the evening. I wish I had gotten photos of the raw meat next to my noodles because that was quite shocking as my noodles had blood on them. In its current state, I don’t recommend this place for their Pho. It’s weak, flavorless and just disrespectful to the dish. Finally, just some feedback. First for takeout. Place the meat in the cup with the broth. If you intend for your pho broth to cook the meat, why not give it the time that it sits in the container, in a car, to cook. Second, save a bag, place the bean sprouts, basil, peppers, and any other added bits into the container that no longer contains raw meat. People don’t need the amount of bean sprouts that I got in that bag. Last, your broth is missing something, it’s either ginger or anise. I can’t quite put my finger on it. Maybe get some toasted vegetables in there or something. If it’s legit broth, it really needs flavor.

I want to begin by saying that I am solely reviewing this restaurant based on their Vietnamese iced coffee and haven't yet tried their food. I indented to do that next time I am in the area and in the mood for some pho. It was a seamless transaction to place the order on the phone and go inside for pick up and my interaction with the staff was pleasant. I do love a good cup of coffee and always try Vietnamese coffee as my taster for many years now. Pho Tai's coffee was slightly disappointing in my scale. A good Vietnamese coffee should be flavorful where the coffee shines through, the coffee shouldn't be too sweet with condensed milk and the mouth texture of the drink itself should leave your mouth with a nice coating of milk that's not too thin or thick either hot or cold. So based on my own rubric, Pho Tai coffee had a decent coffee taste but it could have been better and the color was lighter than my usual and it was too watery. However, the coffee was perfectly sweetened. I wish the coffee was more prominent and there was just a little less ice. Either way, I am glad to have tried this out but probably won't again. However, I will be back to try their food, from the people sitting there and enjoying their meals, it looked really nice. Try it and let me know if you felt the same about the coffee too.

This place really bummed me out. The vegetarian pho was not good. The broth was so bland, it was like it was watered down. I didn't finish eating it as it was just water with vegetables and spongy tofu. Decided I'd make my trip worthwhile and order some bubble tea ...more disappointment as I could not order thai tea with tapioca. Green Tea bubble tea was decent but the overall vibe of this place sucked. Meet me halfway, man. You have thai tea on the menu and you charge for the tapioca, combine like so and sell me the drink. I'd hate to find that the vegetarian pho broth is not indeed vegetarian as per another reviewers inclination.

I went there at about 1110 11:15 at night order to go meal of pho and said I wanted me meat cooked all the way, young man talking my order repeated it back to me, and I payed around 1120 and included a tip. I get home and get everything ready to put it together and open my food to see that the meat is raw. But I'm not really a neat person in the first place and raw meat really grosses me out. I call them right away and let them know, the young man days I can just come out, but I got a Togo that night because I was super tired and DIDN'T want to cook, hence why I went and paid $12 for dinner at 1120pm. Do I let him know that I'm not going to cook it and that ya meat grosses me out, but I'll be back there in about 10 mins and to please just make me new stuff. He tenon's me to bring my raw meat.... Which is kind of an obvious one cuz clearly I don't want the raw meat but then I started thinking are they going to just take this Rodney and cook it and then give it back to me considering it's been an hour later and it's been sitting on top of warm noodles. And that just grossed me out even more but I was just going to see how it played out when I got there. And sure enough 10 minutes later when I get there my food is not ready and he goes to take my food from me first and I am asking what why is it not ready I gave you guys at least 13 14 minute heads up and it takes about 3-4 minutes to make a meal and he was basically taking my food to go back there and cook it and I told them I didn't want them to do that because it's now an hour later and it just really grosses me out and I and so basically he just was not going to go back there and cook me fresh food and he proceeded to take the food go cook it and give it back to me and said it was fresh which I know guaranteed it wasn't or else my food would have been ready by the time I got there with the whole nother batch made. This was their mess up not mine because I specifically made it very clear that I wanted my meat cooked and therefore they should have taken that loss on that food because I paid $12 for fresh food and they just intern go ahead and cook this meat that's been sitting on warm noodles for an hour or more now and give it back to me and call it fresh I was not happy at all whatsoever considering I am now heading back to my house it after midnight now with food that I picked up over an hour ago. Needless to say I won't be going back there and I buy that type of food quite a bit I was very very disappointed and I almost couldn't even get myself to eat it because I was afraid of getting sick and it just literally gross me out that I had that same exact meet at my house about an hour ago Rob though and now it's just cooked, and...

I recently visited Pho Tai PUYALLUP and had one of the worst dining experiences of my life. From the moment we walked in, the service was abysmal. We were greeted with indifference by a hostess who seemed annoyed by our presence. After a long wait, we were finally seated, but it took another eternity before our server came to take our order.

The server was rude and inattentive, barely listening to our requests. We ordered a variety of dishes, but when the food arrived, almost every item was incorrect. Instead of the classic pho I ordered, I received a completely different dish. When I pointed this out, the server was dismissive and acted as if it was my fault for their mistake.

Trying to address the issue, I asked to speak to the manager/idiot. This turned out to be an even bigger mistake. The manager/idiot was unprofessional and condescending, refusing to acknowledge their errors or offer any form of apology. Instead of resolving the situation, they were argumentative and rude, making the whole experience even more unpleasant.

To add insult to injury, the food we did receive was subpar at best. The broth was bland, the meat was overcooked, and the vegetables were far from fresh. Given the long wait and the many mistakes, I would have expected at least some compensation or a sincere apology, but we received neither.

Overall, Pho Tai in PUYALLUP has terrible service, an incompetent manager who is a dumb idiot, and a kitchen that can't get orders right. Save your time and money, and find another pho place that values its customers and serves quality food. This was an experience I won't be forgetting anytime soon, for all the wrong reasons.
