Absolutely 5 stars for Mazatlan Restaurant! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warm, friendly service and an inviting atmosphere. The meal started off perfectly with their chips and salsa—crispy, fresh chips paired with salsa that had just the right kick and depth of flavor. It was seriously some of the best I’ve ever had and set the tone for a great dining experience. Everything we ordered was delicious, but the highlight of my visit was definitely the dessert. I ended the meal with the lava cake and ice cream, and it was out of this world. The lava cake was rich, warm, and perfectly gooey in the center. Paired with the cool, creamy vanilla ice cream, it created the ultimate indulgent treat. Each bite was heavenly—rich, chocolatey, and so satisfying. Mazatlan is a must-visit if you love authentic flavors and generous portions. The staff made sure everything was just right throughout the meal. Whether you’re coming for a casual dinner or a special night out, this place delivers in every way. I’ll absolutely be coming back soon—and I’ll be saving room for dessert again. Don’t skip that lava cake, it’s a game-changer!

We went to Mazatlan for lunch over the weekend. We were pleasantly greeted and seated right away. I ordered the Fiesta Salad with carna asada (see picture) I was happy to see and taste fresh salad for change. The lettuce and cucumbers were crisp, tomatoes were good - not mushy, and the avocado was perfect. I would definitely order the Fiesta Salad again. They also had some really good vegetarian options like spinach enchiladas and vegetarian fajitas. The only reason why I'm giving 4 stars is because once the server delivered the food to our table, she disappeared. So we didn't get water refills or much service. But all good!

If you like mexican food then you better get your keys and drive to this mazatlan after seeing this review. The food tasted so good and the restaurant was clean. The service was great, the waiters were friendly and helpful with making suggestions for trying new dishes. The drinks were really good and well made. Its a great place to eat and the portions are good. You will not be disapointed. They use to have a night club in the back with pool tables and live music. That is the only thing they need to do is to bring that back it was a fun and chill place to hang out. Please bring that back mazatlan.

If you would've asked me to review this restaurant a month ago I would've immediately selected a five. Unfortunately after last week's fiasco they would get a zero if I could. Firstly, I ordered an deluxe enchilada meal with beef for takeout I also expressed that I have Celiac disease and I cannot have gluten or I would end up in the ER, and I asked for chips and salsa, I didn't know they charged for chips and salsa, oh well that is the least of the pain ahead. I received my order and drove home, this was my cheat meal mind you and I was spent from the gym. I get home and open the container and thought hmm where are the rice and beans and why is the enchilada so BIG, with all of the cheese, guacamole and onions I couldn't tell if it was a flour (deadly) or corn (safe) tortilla. So, I pulled off the smallest piece known to man and was mortified it was FLOUR! By this time I was VERY tired and extremely hungry so I drove over 20 minutes back to the restaurant and asked what is this, the two gals behind the counter seemed very amused I was calm but very upset. When I asked where were the rice and beans the gal sarcastically said there in the burrito, the Manadero burrito. Hmm I then stated I didn't order a burrito I ordered the deluxe enchilada plate, by this time the two women giggled and whispered to each other and one went back to the kitchen. Then a older lady came up to the register and the two spoke in Spanish to each other and although I was freaked they were never apologetic EVER. I received my enchilada deluxe meal and was told well we helped you out it would've been $1.50 more, WOW if only I would've been rung up correctly in the first place and received the right food, just WOW. Anyhow, I received a special gift from their mistake and from an unfortunate taste test, my sinuses swelled and a sinus infection resulted from the histamine response from the gluten in the flour tortilla. I WILL NEVER COME HERE AGAIN. I recommend this place to know one, because of the lack of empathy and because I was treated so poorly, and if you are gluten intolerant or have Celiac disease NEVER go to...

Never in my life have I've felt insulted while eating out with family. I couldn't believe the service this man was providing us which was none! I simply ask why haven't we got water and silverware yet after waiting 40 min for our food. And our food came out before our silverware. Without letting us know that they don't serve coke products they just served us pepsi which we had to find out by tasting it. I believe that they should let us know if they don't have coke so we can order something else, instead he just said "yes we have coke" and bring out pepsi??? He also said we couldn't get chips until we order our food. On top of that! A order was made wrong for another customer and he brought it over to our table to sell it for half off to our friend which he was pressuring her to buy it for a discount. Who the hell does that???. I wanted to enjoy a night with my family that I barely get to see and he made the night awkward for all of us. Our bill came out to be $118 and we still gave him 20% on tip which he absolutely does not deserve. I hate to write bad reviews on restaurant because I want all businesses to be successful but I'm tired of being a push over and letting a worker like this man ruin a special night for my family and I. After tonight I will never return to this establishment again. My money is better off spent at a grocery store than wasted on the worst service of my life. After reading other negative reviews on this restaurant, I'm starting to see that this restaurant is building quite a reputation. So I believe whom ever is in charge of this establishment should really get started on retraining on service because your business will go under if you keep this up. Please make a change so others can avoid situations like tonight and take time out of their life just to write a review to notify the business of how they...

So background for me, I was borned and raised in Texas. So the Hispanic influence in where I lived was a lot higher than Puyallup, Washington. Had the Sunday Brunch Buffet. That being said, the food wasn't disgusting but it was definitely no where close to being good. The impression I get is that because there is not a lot of competition in the area for Mexican food, it drives up price as a niche food while the taste is up to how they see fit. In this case, the taste I wouldn't say is authentic unless they skimp a lot on seasoning and etc especially due to the community being predominantly Caucasian as well as buffet style food being so-so in general. There is a lot of room for improvement but it really boils down to 'do they want to improve food quality or any other change in the food?' as well as 'is there a stimulant for improvement?'. If the business is good and they get repeat customers who enjoy the food then no, I suppose they won't see a need to improve. If there is no competition for their area of business, as in there are no new Mexican restaurants that open in the area, then I suppose they won't have the need to improve. Food aside, to order you really have to go about flagging down a server while they're moving about because there's a higher chance they're not going to come to your table. Also it can get quite noisy depending on who is eating there as the space is quite open so that's another thing to...
