Universal Propane Grill & Light — Restaurant in Jersey Village

We've been here twice now and have been very pleased with the level of service both times. It's a family-run business, husband and wife team, and they are super knowledgable and helpful. They know a lot about their products and can speak to you about the pros and cons of each. They carry quality products, so don't expect the cheapest prices (though they are competitive with what you'll find online) but you'll definitely get the best bang for your buck.

They primarily sell and service BBQ grills. They have a wide selection of the higher end brands -- Weber, Bull, Viking -- and can get you anything from a grill on a cart to an island and outdoor kitchen. They sell replacement parts if you need some maintenance on your grill.

You can also get pots and burners for outdoor cooking -- frying turkeys or crawfish boils. They have pots anywhere from 26 quarts to huge industrial sizes!

Our favorite part though is all the grilling accessories. You're like a kid in a candy store -- grill baskets, utensils, grill mats, wood chips, anything you possibly want for your supreme grilling experience!

I’ve never shopped here, but I do wanna say that the owner is fantastic. I had broke down right by his store early in the morning (around 5) and when he opened I had my car completely blocking his driveway. Needless to say, I wasn’t having a great morning, and I couldn’t fix it until stores started to open. It would have been very easy for him to just call the sheriff and get me towed, but instead he helped me get it out of the way and pulled into the grass in front and let me figure out a game plan to get it fixed(which took me until 12:30)

Great guy, who cares about people. Definitely needed that kindness...

I used to go to Uhaul to fill my tanks and they always made it seem like I was bothering them. The last straw was when I went about 30 minutes before they closed and after I rang the bell, the young guy comes out and says "No propane!" I'm looking at this huge tank thinking, "Yeah, right." The next day I went to Universal and I'm glad I did. I will NEVER get propane from anywhere else! The people are super nice and I was in and out in a flash.
