Bavarian Cakery — Restaurant in Jersey Village

We used Bavarian Cakery for our wedding and absolutely loved it (our guests did too) ! Our cake flavors were the Vanilla Bavarian Cheesecake for our base layer and the Amaretto with Pineapple and Cream Cheese on our top 2 tiers.

We went for a cake tasting back in October 2021. Tara gave us a piece of paper that listed out the different cake flavors and options for filling. She gave us space to talk amongst ourselves and make decisions but was around if we had questions. She also inquired to see if we had our other vendors finalized and provided some pamphlets and business card recommendations (per our request).

The reason we we went with them instead of others:

1. The cake was moist!
2. The cake wasn't too sweet
3. The icing didn't have the granulated sugar texture
4. The flavors were so tasty and worked well together

Tara was always very responsive to my emails inquiring about cake stand sizes, updates on headcount, ordering to-go containers for leftover cake, cake stand rentals and options. Throughout the process and time leading up to our wedding, we received our invoices via email, rental return reminders, and delivery time confirmations.

OMG you guys you have no idea how amazing this place smells you walk in and literally you were taken to a place you never wanna leave. It’s almost as senses overload. It is warm and inviting the owner is very nice and very accommodating. And the cakes oh my goodness They are so incredibly beautiful they could be on any one of the reality shows and take first place. The flower details are so realistic I wanted to touch it to see if it was real or not I didn’t but I wanted to. They have a cheesecake that melts in your mouth literally I mean the sugar crystals dissolve on your tongue it’s just I can’t even explain it’s so good if you’ve ever had a Bavarian cream donut imagine that mix with cheesecake mixed with fairy dust and happiness and you’ll come close to how amazing the food here is. It is by appointment only, so you can’t just show up and walk in. They do offer tastings But again you have to call and make an appointment and set everything up. Our wedding cake turned out AMAZING!!! We were unfortunately victims of the local Edible Designs scam (they disappeared with everyone's money and closed their doors without explanation), and with less than 60 days left before our wedding we were panicked to find another cake to replace what we had originally designed. Tara was absolutely amazing and met with us on a weekend (which she normally doesn't do, so that was incredibly kind of her!!). She helped us design an even more beautiful cake than the original cake, which we honestly thought was our perfect cake. This time we decided to try something completely different than our original design, and Tara really listened to our opinions. She could read our non-verbal reactions to different ideas, and she ended up designing our absolute perfect wedding cake. Although the Edible Designs incident was very upsetting and we never recovered the money we lost, we can now look back and see it as a blessing in disguise because we loved this cake so much more!!!
