Bob's Grill & Cafeteria — Restaurant in Conway

Let me tell you a little bit about the “new and improved” Bobs Grill.

The fiancé and I decided to check it out this morning after my doctors visit. Came in and was promptly seated and Connie came and introduced herself. She was amazing. Lacked on explaining everything price wise, but overall nice, and very talkative.

We ordered our food; I went with the meat combo with pancakes. $12.99. Decided against the gags as I can’t digest eggs very well, and in its place, added 1 extra pancake. Loaded up the hash browns to boot. She got the biscuit and gravy combo with loaded hash browns and asked her if she could have a little of both gravy’s. She was undecided. Connie had no issue doing so.

Waited for over an hour for our food; 3 gentleman came in 15 minutes after us and ate and left in the time it took to get our food. Finally after eating, we get the bill. To my surprise, it was over $50.... yes; you read that correct. And I have a photo to show. I was absolutely disgusted to see what we were charged. $1.50 to add 3 pieces of bacon to the hash browns. $1.50 to add sausage to the hash browns. .50 cents here and there for every other topping per order. Charged us for both gravy’s. Charged us for salsa that Connie asked if we wanted... charged me for the extra pancake....

Ladies and gentleman, they literally nickeled and dimed us for every single add on which we understood to be one price...

The food was good; I’ll give them that, and everyone was nice, but the price and the time it took to cook that meal was absolutely ridiculous. I will personally never be returning again. And I hate to say that because it use to be one of my favorites.

For anyone interested in going, make sure you pay attention to what you order and have them break it down for you.

I hate that I have to change my raving review of Bob's from a few years ago when my late husband and I would frequent there for breakfast. I haven't been here since before COVID hit, I didn't know it has changed this much. We used to feel like family when we'd come here, but my recent visit was a big disappointment. We were able to find a table right away, but it took at least 15 min for someone to bring us menus then another 10 min before anyone came by to take out order. The young guy who waited on us was NOT friendly at all, he wasn't rude just NOT friendly. He was really gruff. After eating for awhile, no one ever came back around to see how we were doing. We never received a paper bill so I have no idea if I was even charged correctly. The food on the other hand was just as delicious as it was before. I had the 3 sausage frittata and it was excellent, just found it odd to receive a salad with that. The only qualms I had with my meal is the menu said the frittata came with home fries, but they put hashbrowns on my plate. I like my hashbrowns a certain way so if I'd known it was hashbrowns instead of home fries, I would have ordered them how I like them. I gave them to my...

So today was my first time to eat here and for sure will not be my last!! The waitress was fantastic and so nice and the wait time to get our food was not bad at all!! My husband and I had breakfast and it was so delicious!! We had the healthy omelet which was three eggs with diced onions, peppers and spinach on the inside and it also came with cheese but we told them just to hold that. But if you haven't been here yet it is sure worth a try!!!

Update: So today my husband and I went for breakfast and just like my first post...it was still very yummy!!!! also want to give a big shout out to Jaime Santillan for doing an outstanding job on waiting on us today...very sweet, kind, and kept our coffee filled!!! Great job young man!!!!!

UPDATE: Bobs Grill will make you Gluten Free, non-GMO, Vegan food if you request it! Breakfast or lunch! It's not on the menu, but they are in the process of making new menus with healthy options ☺️ Rebeca the owner fixed my husband & I up this morning with a beautiful plate of Egg White Frittata, cactus, mixed salad with quiona and a small bowl of Mexican rice!!! She loves her customers like they are family! Wonderful servers & staff...
