Our first time to go, and we had a good time. There was a lot to do and see for the little ones. We had the best time with the simplest (and free) things, like the water play area and the obstacle courses. There were some good carnival food options, and the toad races were worth seeing to say we've seen them. The rides were waaaaaay overpriced at $3 and $4 per person per ride, and I was hoping to see a lot more local arts and crafts booths.
Go for the fun environment and shows, spend a few bucks on a corn dog and a funnel cake, and (in my opinion) skip the side of the festival with the rides and booths.
All that being said... I know this is the first time in a couple years that they've had a full festival, so maybe it will be...
