Dishonest business practices. False advertising, lazy waitressing, very limited selection. My friend and I stopped in there for lunch today at 12:20 ish, BECAUSE OF THEIR SIGN outside that said "LUNCH-$6.99 DINNER-$9.49" . We walked in and were immediately greeted and seated. We ate, our plates were never cleared, drinks never offered to be refilled, in fact after our initial seating we never even saw anyone again...not even for our bill until we got up and went and waited at the front, for several minutes before anyone showed up. Then they give us our bill and it' @ $24!!! Which is almost double what we were expecting. We explained why we were upset and why we came in to begin with. The manager proceeded to explain to me that the sign outside was basically irrelevant bc they "didn't put any times or days on it", and pointed to a small sign poorly written INSIDE that said "Sundays, $10.49" with a ton of other writing on it which obscured that anyways". Which neither of us saw until she pointed it out.....mainly bc our attention was grabbed by her as soon as we walked into the door and seated. She also kept trying to say something about dinner time pricing....it's not even 1pm... I eventually paid bc I had no other choice since the only options were give her my CC(I had no cash otherwise I would have tossed cash at her in the amount advertised and just left) or have the cops called on me for skipping out on a bill which was NOT my intentions ever. Needless to say we will never be back nor ever recommend the horrible business to anyone. Completely...
Read moreI love the food at the Panda, as I am a vegetarian and am able to find lots of nutritious foods to eat here. My wait staff have always been very good people to us when we visit. I have this one problem though. The last time I was in the restaurant, last week, an Asian man came out to the dining area from the back, and he sat down in a booth seat. He was positioned to stare directly at me. I was finished with my meal and I had paid from the table. I had just finished my dessert, and maybe I like dessert too much, but I still try to abide by the silly RULE in there to eat everything that is on my plate. Anyway I put my complimentary chopsticks in my purse and got up slowly; as we are seniors and disabled too. I looked again and the Asian man who was in the seat was glaring straight into my eyes! What a look on his face too; as it was more like a hate glare!!!!!! I don't know what he thinks this little lady was doing wrong in his restaurant, but I will tell you this right now......I will try once more to be a patron to their restaurant and let that little incident roll off my back....but if I am hate glared at one more time....I will write more public reviews and tell everyone I know that I was treated this way in the restaurant. I don't want to be SCARED when I go out to dinner people.....Perhaps it was a young man employee that was in a bad mood that day and went out to the dining room to brood....I don't know, but I don't' want to see him doing that to the...
Read moreAll the food was a hit, freshly prepared, seasoned, and decent. The handsome host came to our table twice just to ask if we wanted any more pop, and the place waa packed! If you're looking for a sushi fix they have a few options, but nothing to write home about. All food was consistent, adequately diverse, and filling. 6 bucks gets you in for a buffet, a dollar extra gets you unlimited refills on a pop or tea. Came into Conway for a business meet, was looking for quick chow afterwards, and something decent. Panda is the place for it, but their sign outside reads China buffet, I don't know where the panda part of it is? Anyway, the place is clean, a/c is cool, you can see right out of the windows or watch t.v. whichever is your thing. They have 6 or 7 buffet bars, dessert is sort of caddy-corner to the far end of the hot bars, and it has a reasonable assortment of expected Chinese buffet dessert types. Definitely go if you're on short time but want a quick fill, and for under $10 bucks the service alone makes it...
