I came through the drive through on my way back home and asked for a tray with the sides of onion rings and cheese bites. I get my food, check it and only have onion rings. So I went back through, then the worker took the tray and removed all of the onion rings and gave it back to me with an order of cheddar cheese bites. Then I had to tell her that I had ordered 2 sides that were different not a double up. She told me if I wanted the onion rings back I needed to give her the cheese bites back. I also had a water added to my order that I asked about and she told me it rings up as $0.00 and I asked her why it was on the bill and she said “Because I put it on there, ma’am” I appreciate the manners but it was very condescending. So I had to end up paying $4 to keep the cheese bites that I had originally asked for because she had put too many in the bag. She told me I couldn’t have 8 onion rings with the cheese bites. So I just paid the difference and out of curiosity counted the onion rings (there was 6). I don’t care to pay the difference since it was a larger portion, but all of the back and forth was unnecessary. And the attitude. Very disappointing. Felt like she wanted me to just shut up and drive off so she could move on to a new customer but there was 1 other car in the drive through besides me, it wasn’t busy. Anyways, this was my first time having cookout in over a year. The food is good, but the service was horrible. Customer service plays a big role in this industry, and you never know what others are going through. So thank you Bessie, for serving me but next time I’ll go to...
Read moreI'm disappointed that I doubt have many experiences like this. I would definitely label this as my best experience at any Cook Out location yet. I ordered in the drive thru quite late after my shift at my job ended. I was unsure exactly what I wanted to eat and headed to McDonald's first, since I had a gift card. Seeing that they closed their drive thru for construction. Irritated, I crossed the street to the tried-and-true Cook Out. Thinking I wanted more, I asked my server, Marissa, if I could have a moment to check over the menu. Polite and courteous, she gave me the time I needed and double checked my order with me when I was finished, even after I added the hushpuppies on a whim. Now, I wasn't a huge fan of the hushpuppies, just not my taste, but I must say that Marissa made my experience quite enjoyable, handing me my drink as she took my payment, instead of just handing everything out at once. Then, after a few moments, she handed me my tray and asked if I would like any dipping sauces. I always forget to ask and always feel anxious about it, but seeing the opportunity, I asked if I could have some ranch. She handed me two ranch cups without any fuss or lapse in politeness, which was absolutely spotless by the way. I actually went through the drive thru again just to get her name and haven't even bitten into my double burger yet. Thank you so very much for your service, politeness, and...
Read moreThe food I ordered came out wrong from the kitchen so I carried it back to the counter. I told the cashier that it was wrong and asked to have it remade. Cashier was friendly but overwhelmed and sent it back for me. When the employee from the kitchen brought it to the counter for me she held onto the bag of food so that I would’ve had to snatch it to get it from her. When she let the bag go she sarcastically said “thank you,” as if she was mad she had to have to remake the food. At that point I told her that I didn’t want the food and to refund my money. I asked to speak to the manager and when the “child/manager” came out she was very unprofessional and said that the employee had already told her what happened and wouldn’t listen to what I was telling her. I asked for the number for their home office and as she turned her back to me to walk away she said call the number on the cup. This is not the first time that a member of my family has been treated poorly by the staff and management at...
