Ya’ll are gonna read this review and think I’m just some crazy guy who blew it out of proportion but I have to say hands down that my wife and I just had the absolute worst dining experience of our lives here. We decided to go out for a date night and give Conways new “Fine Dining” option a try so we made a 6:30 reservation. The restaurant is pretty and has a nice atmosphere but that was the best part unfortunately. Aside from the most awkward ordering experience I’ve ever been a part of. We got through it ordering their “Local bread basket” which was cold, sliced sandwich bread and olive oil. Ok… For some reason we had to order all of our sides, apps, and mains all at once and I knew immediately that would be a problem to come… wife order a house with ranch, and was excited to try the French onion soup, I got the wedge salad. After that we order the mid rare 22oz porterhouse, smoked Gouda Mac (only decent warm thing), and Pom frites wife ordered a “Bone in Ribeye” mashed potatoes, and seasonal mushroom mix. Ok taste wise the food was ok. It was the presentation and the food not matching what we ordered for me. My steak was raw, hers wasn’t a bone in ribeye and both resembled what you’d get at western sizzlin’ for $65 each you’d think it would matter a little. My wife’s mashed potatoes where covered in red collagen from the steak, her French onion soup was cold and came with the food instead of the salads and starters, and her $10 seasonal mushroom mix was a mess of greasy undercooked baby bellas. My steak was fricking raw dude, raw in the middle. Should I have checked the steak? I guess so, but when you go to a joint with a dress code and $65 meat there’s a certain expectation. Idk maybe my standards are too high. My steak was cold within 30 seconds of hitting the table. So we did what the normal courteous customer does when out for a nice evening. We politely asked for the manager who left us sitting there for 10 minutes like idiots not eating, just waiting. I figured “surely this guy is going to take care of this for us.” Well yes and no… we got excuses for why the steaks sucked, excuses for the cold food and a bill for $77.32 for 2 cocktails, 2 salads, and no mains. Needless to say now I’m writing this review form a booth at Mike’s Place finally getting good service and great food. What a shame…. I’m a small business owner myself and hold a much higher customer service standard, my name is Roy Summers and I’m not hard to find if anyone at this establishment wants to try to make this right…

Conway has long been in need of a truly upscale dining experience, and 7 Oaks has more than delivered. This elegant farm-to-table restaurant offers not only a sophisticated atmosphere but also an opportunity to dress up and indulge in the finer things. Finally, a restaurant with a dress code! From the moment you walk in, the impeccable service sets the tone for an unforgettable evening. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in ensuring that every detail of your dining experience is perfect. The food at 7 Oaks is nothing short of extraordinary. We started with the calamari and crabcakes, both of which were absolutely perfect. The calamari was tender with a crisp, light batter, and the crabcakes were bursting with fresh, rich flavor. For the main course, the New York strip was everything you could want in a steak—flavorful, tender, and cooked to perfection. The duck, which can be tricky to get just right, was expertly prepared and melted in the mouth with every bite. The cocktails at 7 Oaks are equally impressive. They are classy and unique, with a touch of creativity that makes them stand out from the usual fare. And for dessert, the peach cobbler cigars were a delightful and unexpected treat, providing the perfect sweet finish to an exceptional meal. Whether you're looking for a romantic date night or a gathering with friends, 7 Oaks is the place to be. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough—it truly is the gem that Conway has been waiting for.

My wife and I celebrated our 16th anniversary here earlier this week. We had a reservation for 5:00 and arrived promptly. The staff greeted us warmly and acknowledged the occasion of our celebration multiple times during our meal. Our server, Isaiah, was top-tier and attended to us at every turn. Very attentive and friendly and made sure we were taken care of. The New York Strip I had was one of the best steaks I’ve ever had! Cooked perfectly, and the seasoning…outstanding! My wife had salmon, which was very good, but she felt it could have used more seasoning. I tasted a bite and I’m not sure if it was seasoned at all, but it was not bad. Nothing a little salt and pepper couldn’t fix! The sides were all very good, but I do think they lacked enough seasoning as well. In short, the serving sizes and quality of food was very good. Perhaps just a bit more attention to seasoning and I would say they were not good, but great! We ordered a crème brûlée to split because we were so full! Because it was our anniversary, it was on the house! It’s also the only thing I managed to get a photo of… I am not accustomed to spending what we did on a meal, but I was prepared to for our special occasion and it was money well-spent! The ambience, dress code, and quality of food and service is something Conway doesn’t deserve, but I’m glad we have! Many won’t appreciate it, but it was a welcome change from casual dining. We will return as often as possible for special occasions.

My review of Seven Oaks. I made reservations a month ago over the phone for tonight. A couple days ago I got a text from an online reservation service asking me to confirm my reservation by clicking a link which I promptly did to seal the deal. Fortunately for me and my wife, I had forgotten exactly what time I made the reservations. So I called around noon today to find out the time only to be told my name was not on the reservation list. I asked why it wasn’t as I had made reservations over the phone and confirmed them online just a couple days ago. I was on the phone with the owner during all this and he said not to worry he would get us in at 630 and he was very apologetic. I told him in the course of this convo that we were celebrating my wife’s birthday to which he said “thank you for spending that special day with us, we will be sure to do something special for her for this occasion.” We arrive and were seated promptly and our waitress was attentive but very robotic in how she interacted with us. It was odd. The whole atmosphere there is like that. We ordered drinks to start and we opted to get dessert first. I had the key lime pie my wife had the crème brûlée. To our surprise the desserts came before our drinks. Our waitress came back over and apologized and said our ticket at the bar had “slid to the side” and they had moved it ahead to get our drinks out promptly and apologized again for the delay. Desserts were excellent. When our drinks did arrive they were terrific. I had a smoked maple wood old fashion and it was incredible and my wife had a raspberry margarita that she said was good. We ordered the oysters trio for our appetizer. It was underwhelming, the raw oysters on the dish were very good but the BBQ oyster and the oysters Rockefeller were average at best. For the steaks my wife had the filet, medium rare, and got it Oscar style with lump crab cake, asparagus, and bernaise sauce. She said it was very tender but lacked seasoning. I ordered the porterhouse (22 ounces/they only have one size). I ordered it rare(yes rare bc in my experience it’s never thick enough at a steakhouse to get a medium rare to come out right bc the tenderloin cooks faster than the strip the tenderloin side usually comes out medium or medium well if you order it medium rare). It was cooked rare just like I asked, with the tenderloin side slightly more to medium rare than the rare strip side. Seasoning on mine was okay. Overall the steak was nothing to write home about. It was better than the ribeye I had at Arthur’s by a long shot but not nice steakhouse quality good. Honestly I could have gone to outback and got the Melbourne’s T bone cooked rare and not known the difference…well the outback steak might have been better. I can still cook a better steak by a mile than all of these places. The sides were leaps and bounds ahead of ahead of some of the higher end steakhouses in Little Rock. The truffle fries were actually hand cut and fried to perfection. The Brussels sprouts with bacon marmalade were good, and I don’t like Brussels sprouts (my wife loved them). The portions were big for the sides, easy to share….But be warned they charge 5 dollars per side to split them. I understand if you want to charge me bc me and my wife are splitting an entree, but a split charge for sides? That’s is a bit ridiculous. Also on their menu they only advertise at the bottom of the entree pages about the five dollar split charge. It is not listed on the sides page of the menu which is misleading. Circling back to the owners comment to me about doing something special for my wife since it was her birthday...nothing happened. The owner was in the restaurant the entire night and visited several tables asking about the food and service never once came to our table. I thought his comment would have been represented by a complimentary dessert or at least a complimentary glass of wine/champagne but nothing came of it. Overall, for 350 dollars we spent and required to wear a collared shirt and jacket (there is a dress code) we...

Aside from the most awkward ordering experience I’ve ever been a part of. We got through it ordering their “Local bread basket” which was cold, sliced sandwich bread and olive oil. Ok…

As a first time customer I am extremely disappointed. I made a reservation at the end of January for Valentines Day at 730. Knowing that it was more than likely going to be a really busy night and I wanted to make sure we were going to be able to get in. We didn’t get seated until 825. There was a couple that was seated at our table a couple minutes before we were and we wondered why they sat down and then just up and left with how long they had to wait. Well when we sat down we realized why. They were doing a limited menu for Valentines Day. Now I can understand why they did that with the influx of customers. But the only reason why I chose this place was because my husband really wanted to try lamb chops and I was craving crab cakes. Neither were on this menu and honestly all the options sucked and I wouldn’t really ever choose the options we were given. I wish this would have been disclosed on the website because this alone would have detoured us from even coming here last night. So after we thought it over we knew it was going to be hard to eat anywhere else with the wait times, so we chose from what we were given and decided to stay. Well we never even got out steaks. We ended up leaving about 1045 with only having a piece of lettuce - our appetizer. The wait staff were so apologetic and Hannah was a great server. It was mentioned to us from someone else that they believe they ran out of food. This probably wouldn’t have been the problem if you hadn’t only given people like 4 options. I honestly was prepared to lay down at least $300 for this meal. And thank god for the bottle of wine we had while waiting other wise I would have been even more pissed off at the restaurant. I know things probably went wrong because it was such a busy night but even staff told us they were not happy with how management and the chef handled things. Not really sure how yall will be in business for too long if this is how you handle things. Starting off with putting it on your website about the limited menu. We spent 3+ hours there to not even get our meal. Debating if we even want to come try...
