11/5/25: They always fail to follow directions with drinks. I started telling them at the speaker, even though it defeats the purpose to order at the window since I already ordered in the app. Tonight the girl still failed to do the drink properly. I had to tell her AGAIN (this is now 3x) and hand the drink back to her to get it filled right. She handed me a cup with soda all over the outside and the lid not secured. No napkins in the bag. Chicken strips were luke warm -- and I arrived in the time frame promoted by the app.
6/16/25: These clowns told me to go to lane one when I was in lane 2 picking up an order. Then they asked if I was someone else, then asked if I orderd in lane 2. Not a big deal on it's own but I had to mention it because of the rest of the issues. They failed to include the cheese and pico de gallo I paid for on 2 chicken sandwiches and they put ice in both the drinks even though the order specified no ice. They also split up sauces paid for with 1 combo meal into multiple bags, for some reason. No napkins were included.
1/25/25: no napkins. normal sauce = almost none. extra sauce = lots on the sandwich. fries undercooked and not warm. missing 1" off top of large cup of coke. The sandwich otherwise was fine.
12/29/24: ordered no ice, got ice. fries barely fried and super salty. For some reason they smashed the sandwich really flat, and it was falling apart. Other than that, it was fine.
11/28/24: They're supposed to be open on Thanksgiving but they're closed.
11/16/24: 2/5 down to 1/5. Sandwiches not warm like before. Drink had ice, but ordered no ice (mobile order and no way for this to be my fault. email confirms the order). Missing all 3 sauces from the order, and no sauce was provided at all. Onion rings cold again like the first time I had them. Not crispy. Flimsy instead. Pickup window was provided 1 hour in advance and I arrived 5 minutes early. I received the order 10 minutes after the end time of the time window. No napkins included. Customers in lobby and they're late on the order, and this female employee is just leaning on the counter in the kitchen, playing with her phone. They had me go get my own straw, which wouldn't have been an issue if not for all the other issues.
11/12/24: Fries cold/uncooked. Large drink missing 1" off the top. Something off about sandwich. Didn't seem as large of chicken, or as tender, or flavorful. Not sure what's going on this time. Tried the cookies, and they aren't great. Sort of like a generic store-brand cookie. Down to 2/5 from 3/5.
9/23/24 UPDATE: Out of 2 soda options. Gave cash plus the exact change, to get cash back, and the cashier tried to give me back just under the correct amount, with lots of change. They filled soda with a missing 1" off the top (large), defeating the purpose of no ice. Other than this, it was fine. They didn't include any ketchup at all, which seems to be included by standard. I asked for them to give me the jalapeno ranch I paid for yesterday, and I did get that. No napkins included. Fries weren't that good this time.
9/22/24 UPDATE: They didn't include the jalapeno ranch I bought. Down to 3 from 4 stars.
Never been to Whataburger before today.
The guy taking the order was polite, but doing really poorly at marking down the order correctly. He had a lot of trouble hearing.. and I do know not to whisper at a drivethrough speaker, and have worked drivethrough and am considerate. I made sure to project my voice, clearly, but he had a lot of issues hearing. It's possible his headset (or the entire setup here) is just too low volume.
Ice in my drink even though I ordered NO ICE, and it says this on the receipt, as well.
As far as the food.. the onion rings were meh. The sandwich was really good, and it was hot.. which is very appreciated. It was spicy, too. Not just advertised as spicy -- though I did have them add jalapenos to it. It's refreshing to have actual spicy food. It was much less than I can handle, but just not falsely advertised.

Placed order and found a booth to sit in, before the food was ready I noticed a bug around the trash can near the door but didn't think much of it after a long day of work, then just a few minutes later my wife told me to move quickly because it turned out to be a roach that was coming towards our table. We immediately got up and gathered our drinks and went to tell the worker at the front about it and that we wanted our food to go instead of dining in. We told the employees who at first didn't believe us and went to look for themselves and quickly killed it and swept it up before other customers noticed. Finally got our food and before leaving the parking lot checked it and they had messed up one of the burgers (supposed to be ketchup only but had everything instead) and gave a medium fry instead of large that was paid for. So we had to go back inside and wait again for a burger...
ย ย ย Read moreIt's been years since I've eaten at a Whataburger and I had a coupon for a free burger so I figured I'd give it a go. So the food was fine to good. Nothing too special. I think there are several other burger places in town that are better for the same price. I wouldn't go out of my way for this. Their service was prompt and the employees were extremely polite and clean. I think I may have gotten lucky and gotten a freshly brewed tea, unfortunately that meant it didn't have time to cool off and it was watered down hot tea. The restaurant itself was a bit messy. The drink station looked as if it hadn't been wiped down in several hours and a few of the tables appeared that way as well. Perhaps this was a staffing issue though they weren't too busy when I went. Overall, I enjoyed the food well enough. There was really nothing to complain about but my expectations were...
