Disappointing and underwhelming experience at Elevation for dinner. My husband googled restaurants nearby and we ended up here with our daughter for Father's Day dinner. Upon entering, the restaurant had an upscale vibe. The hostess was pleasant and seated us quickly. It took a while for us to be serviced, but when we did, our order came out quickly. Caesar salad was decent, but the problems arose after we received our meal. My daughter had to wait over 15 minutes to receive ranch dressing for her Thai wings because our waitress was nowhere to be seen. When we finally got a hold of someone cleaning tables nearby, she told that she doesn't work the floor. After about 10 minutes, we proceeded to ask the runner who brought out our food for dressing, and rather than say, "Sure, no problem", he told us that we should've asked for that when he brought our food out earlier. Also, the menu listed steak with mashed potatoes and broccoli. When my husband questioned the vegetable medly on our plates without ANY broccoli, he sarcastically and rudely told us that they didn't have broccoli. It would've been nice to have been told that ahead of time as well as receive a decent portion of steak. At this point, we were ready to pay the bill, yet still, no one was there to check on us. At this point, my husband went to the bar to tell someone to grab our waitress so we could leave. How is our food brought out and we weren't checked on once through the course of service? When our server came back, she claimed she would get the owner (he never came) and attempted to get the runner to apologize, but at that point, we were ready to go. We paid (18% gratuity) for sub-par service and food. I pray that this establishment can provide elevated service as they claim, rather than the deflated unprofessional service we experienced today on Father's Day. We will never return to patronize a restaurant that doesn't value...
Read moreI want to edit my review. Immediately after it posted, the owner, Shane called me and when I tell you he is serious about making sure his customers are taken care of, I mean it. I am looking forward to going there again and praying that this restaurant stays in my neighborhood for a long time to come. Thank you Shane and I look forward to meeting you soon. Based on his feedback I'm changing my rating to 5 stars!!
We had a party of 19. I made a reservation on Saturday, so it shouldn't have been a surprise that a large party was coming in. The service was terrible. It took forever to get our food and when we did it came out sporadically, and two people never received theirs. It was blamed on the POS system, but the system only had what was put in it. Obviously, the server didn't put their orders in. Two or three orders would come out and then it would be 15 - 20 minutes before the next came out. There was never an apology for the terrible service, even though I spoke to the "manager". The only one who did apologize was the barhop and he explained that there was only 2 cooks when there are normally 4. Our server, nor the manager never mentioned this. And just for clarity, I never raised my voice or got angry because I never want to upset people who have access to my food. I ordered the braised Brussel sprouts appetizer and they were burnt. When I sent them back and told the server they were burnt, she tried to tell me they were braised, as if I can't tell when my food is burnt. This building has had over 5 different businesses in it in the last few years and if they don't do something about the service, there will be a 6th one...
Read moreAfter a long grueling day at work I visited this restaurant/lounge which seemed promising. I sat in my vehicle to finish a phone convo for about 8 minutes while watching what looked like the hostess who was sitting in a suv parked adjacent to the main entrance leave the suv to open the door for arriving guests about 2 times. When I approached the door she didn’t not greet me with the same pleasantry. Once inside I seated myself at the bar. The bartender wasn’t friendly, profesional, or helpful in any manner. I requested the cauliflower bites but was told that although they’re on the menu it hasn’t been available for a few months. I then requested the crab cakes to which she says they were out of. She saw a server taking an order to a patron then advised it was available. I ended up ordering the crab cakes, was told to hold on while she prepares someone’s beverage only to observe her open a beer and sit and chat with a co-worker over the beer before returning to me 2 songs later to allow to to finish ordering garlic mash potatoes and broccoli. (The beer was still sitting there btw). The crab cakes were delicious, however the sides were not to my liking. The potatoes appeared to have been sitting out and had dry spots. The mashed potatoes and soggy broccoli reminded me of school cafeteria food. I left it, the bartender noticed but didn’t seem to care to ask if there was an issue. I still tipped her over 18%, honestly why is beyond me 🤷🏽♀️. Usually I give businesses and ppl multiple chances because everyone has an off day occasionally, but this spot had too many misses for me so I think this spot is a one and...
