I ordered a sugar free cake for my grandfather for his 80th birthday and a dozen cupcakes. I left them out at room temp for an hour while we ate lunch, Jamie said to leave out for atleast 30min so the frosting would soften. First off the chocolate cake on both the cupcakes and cake were so dry that it just crumbled, also the chocolate flavor was extremely bitter. The frostings were hard and solid(see picture of solid icing on fork!) on all of the cupcakes. Then My poor grandfather couldn’t eat his cake because of how awful it was . The icing texture was nothing I have ever seen before. It was a shiny gooey mess that tasted like wax and straight artificial sweetener, to the point you couldn’t get the taste out of your mouth. You can see in the picture the knife standing straight up in this “frosting”. He was upset because he said the sugar free cake mixes out of the box were so much better than this. So for $65 my grandfathers birthday was ruined when all he wanted was a “fancy” cake. I would not ever recommend...
Read moreI can't say enough good things about Jamie's Eats and Sweets! The food here is always fantastic, and the desserts are next-level amazing. One thing I have to mention is their Pumpkin Cheesecake. I have to admit, I normally hate anything pumpkin. My fiancé loves pumpkin-flavored items, and every Fall when they pop up everywhere, I just can't get into it. It’s never been my thing—until I tried Jamie’s Pumpkin Cheesecake.
I honestly don’t know what magic Jamie puts into it, but this cheesecake is one of the best things I’ve ever tasted. It's now one of my absolute favorite desserts, and I don’t even like pumpkin! It’s rich, perfectly spiced, and the texture is spot on. I truly wish they had it on the menu year-round because I would 100% order it every time I’m there. If you're a pumpkin lover or even if you're not, this is a must-try!
Beyond the desserts, the whole menu is top-notch. Whether you're stopping by for lunch or just for a sweet treat, Jamie's is a hidden gem in Cookeville that you don’t want to miss....
Read moreI ended up ordering my 3 tier wedding cake from here for my March 9th wedding. Paid just under 400$ and the cake was burnt. I reached out to Jamie and expressed my concerns. Yes it was like 2 weeks after my wedding when I reached out bc I was not only busy with a honeymoon and the legalities of marriage but the following week was Spring break and we had a family vacation planned. I thawed some of the cake out not even 2 weeks after the event. I sent pictures and even offered to bring a piece by so she could see/smell it in person. I get that the texture would be different from freezing then thawing it but that process is not going to make is taste AND smell burnt. I was not looking for a refund, just anything to make me feel valued as a customer. Even a gift card to the establishment would have been a nice gesture. She tried to tell me that's just how red Velvet edges look and there was nothing she could do for me. If you are planning on spending big bucks on a wedding cake I would NOT...
