Savor Cookeville — Restaurant in Cookeville

I really wanted to love this place. I had been to Seven Senses once before the move and enjoyed my experience. Unfortunately, I can not say the same about Savor. We were quoted 35-45min wait for a table for nine outside. We accepted the wait and made our way to the bar. The drinks and bartenders did a great job (zero complaints here). We checked in with the host after 45mins and were told our tables were still not avail so, we got another drink and waited. Approx 15 mins later we were seated. We did request the patio so, the wait for the table was not a problem thanks to the bartenders! The problem started when we ordered and waited and waited and waited for our food! We truly waited 2hrs for our dishes. That does not include the hour prior. We were starving so yes we ate but was the food worth the two hour wait, NOPE! My grilled chicken was dry. My husband's burger was just a burger. My friends chicken wrap had no chicken. No manager ever approached us to offer and explanation, an apology or anything! The waitress did a good job of refilling our waters and letting us know our food would be out but, she even seemed uncomfortable with the wait. We appreciated the 25% discount Im assuming the manager approved for the delay but, a stop at our table with an explanation and maybe a basket of bread would have gone a long way. Like I said I really wanted to like this place but, it was a disappointment. Minus the wait the food...

We ate here for the first time and my meal was very disappointing and expensive. I got the stir fry and decided to add scallops (an additional $18!). My first disappointment was when my food arrived and there were THREE scallops the size of a half dollar!! The fried rice didn’t taste fresh but the veggies were okay. For what we paid and the portion and quality of the food, it was very disappointing. I will give them another shot but wouldn’t order the stir fry again unless something changed…definitely will not order it with scallops!! My husband ordered the cod and it was very good!! The service was great too! We got a piece of pecan pie to go and although it is very good, that’s all you get…a piece of pie…no ice cream, no whipped cream…nothing! Maybe add one of those! To give someone just a piece of pie is just inadequate. We’ll be back to give them another shot. Hopefully we can sit outside...

I don't usually write reviews, but the service was so bad tonight at Savor, that I need to. My friend and I stopped in for dinner. After about 20 minutes, we were seated (not a problem). The waitress took about 10+ minutes ask for our drink. By this time, we had our food order ready - which we gave to the waitress. Then we waited for more than an hour for our food. Other tables ordered and received their food. Finally, we asked the waitress where our food was but got no reasonable response. We decided to leave. The hostess and our waitress went to get the manager. We waited for several minutes for him/her. By this time, we had had it. We left and will not...
