Amazing pizza, with crust that has a little crunch, a little chew, amazing sauce with actual flavor and generous cheese that just tastes Better! Finish your meal with an individual tiramisu or a piece of baklava! Either is a sensual eating experience, I promise. I miss the delicious authentic foods that were available in the north and living in Atlanta. This restaurant and store is a taste of many countries in one menu, without leaving Cookeville. Greek favorites like the freshest gyros you'll ever taste with tzatziki that was so good I swear I'd bathe in it. My daughter loves the dolma, and the falafel, and she is has a particular palate, that was brought up on international foods.
On the othe side of the world - the cheesesteaks are so authentic, they could have been made at the 12th St Station..honestly I love this sandwich and will try to eat the whole thing, but it's huge! The bread is homemade of course, sinful, but worth it!
Step away from the chain restaurant and try something homemade, by two wonderful, nice guys at World Foods who know about flavor! No, I don't work for them, just encourage people to try new foods and learn about cultures at the...
Read moreFood is pretty good, but don’t try to dine in. The staff had the rudest attitude I’ve ever encountered in customer service. When I ordered, I was asked to take out or dine in, and I said it was for here at the counter. Evidently the man taking my order either didn’t hear me or chose to ignore that because our food was brought in take out containers. That wasn’t a big deal; I went up to the counter and asked for silverware, even saying I’d take plastic silverware. This was met with the rudest laugh and he said “That’s why I asked for here or to go.” When he brought the plates and silverware to the table, he slammed them down with another laugh and reiterated that was “why he asked for here or to go.” I told him I did tell him for here, and he laughed again and said “No you didn’t.” So I promptly took my things and left. Will not be back, as the other staff were also rude and made an exasperated comment when I ordered the same sandwich as my friend, who was paying separately from me. Absolutely terrible service; I have never been spoken to in that manner in...
Read moreI’ve never had a more frustrating experience at a restaurant. To begin, I wasn’t greeted when I walked into the establishment despite the employees being unoccupied. Continually, I was met with a very rude male employee when I was ordering. He asked me and the other person I was with, who I was ordering separate from, if we wanted our meal to go or if we’d like to dine in. She and I both said dine in, but after it was prepared, it came out in to-go boxes. That wasn’t a huge deal, but when my friend and I requested silverware, we were met with attitude, slamming plates on our table, and a very demeaning comment from the employee— which was simply a childish argument: “We said for here, sorry!” and was responded to with a laugh and “No, you didn’t.” Really, how hard is it to grab a couple of forks? At that time my friend and I promptly left— silverware still on the table. It is simply disappointing to see how little people care about treating others with customer service—let alone basic...
