McDonald's — Restaurant in Cookeville

I already called McDonalds Customer complaints about this, provided feedback on the app, and I also wanted to make a review.

I went through the drive-thru this morning and ordered a sandwich, hotcakes, and a coffee. I received my food, but was told to pull into curbside for my drink. After waiting 15 minutes, an employee came to my car and asked what I was waiting for. I explained that I had been waiting for an iced vanilla latte for 15 minutes. She said she would let someone know, but another 5 minutes passed with no update.

At that point, I went inside the restaurant. On my way in, I passed another employee carrying drinks for a different car that had arrived after me, which made the situation more frustrating.

Once inside, I made eye contact twice with a manager, and the second time I asked if she was the manager. I explained that I had been waiting over 20 minutes just for my iced coffee and that I was very upset. She went back, made the drink, apologized, and explained that there was a new person on drinks and things got hectic. She told me that next time I come to McDonalds I could let the staff know my drink should be free, as that was her solution. When I asked for either a refund or a phone number to call, she just suggested a free drink next time I come. This is just completely unacceptable!!! This long for a drink is absurd. This is a pretty halfway decent McDonald’s, just make sure you order on the app so you don’t hold up the line because they don’t always have two people for both of their lanes. The food is often made correctly, but fries can be cold more often than not, but they’re more than happy to drop you fresh fries if you ask so that’s a bonus. Depending on the time of day you might have Someone on the order headset be a little rude to you, but it seems like they’re just being overwhelmed, not the best, but usually they try to make up for it which is more than I can say for other McDonald’s. Usually a very busy place and sometimes the interior can be kind of dirty, but I see staff pick it up all the time, and the outside lot is at least wonderfully clean for the most part being as big as it is. If you go at night, you typically get your food made fresh if you go in the afternoon around 3 to 4 PM. It’s 50-50 whether it’s fresh or cold. Typically I order chicken nuggets for the dog and half the time they’re cold, which isn’t a big issue for me cause that means I can feed the dog immediately And not have to let them wait to cool down, but I know that could be a dealbreaker for some people, especially kids. All in all they handle special request without any issues, typically it’s pretty decent service especially if you go inside, but you’re going to have to double check to make sure your food is warm if you don’t ask them to...

Went through Drive Through for Coffee, Sausage Muffin, Sausage Burrito, Hashbrown at 8:18 a.m. Received Coffee at pickup window, but was asked to wait in the courtesy spot for late order delivery.

At 8:35 without receiving the rest of order, went inside & asked for manager with my receipt who ignored me and remedied another customer's order (apperent same scenario) who had come in from car line AFTER me for his order (stated a 15 minute wait).

Needing to get to work, I left receipt and left without the burrito, hashbrown, or muffin.

I will not be back. McDonald's has lost my business. Too many bad experiences in too many different locations recently.

1. Joelton, TN I-24 Exit - Filthy & Deplorable Facility, terrible service & order fill time, Awful Food served at the wrong temperature and haphazardly thrown together - Dangerous to your health to eat here!
2. Mt. Juliet, TN Free Standing location - Slow, Slow, SLOW service. No one speaks English well, probably why so slow. Newer facility, usually pretty clean, but service is ALWAYS slow
3. Cookeville, TN Willow Avenue - Inconsistent at best. Sometimes ok, but then there can be a complete meltdown on any given day and you may choose to leave without an order you already paid for. Is there a ZERO star rating for leaving without...
